FaceTime missing from iPhone 5?

FaceTime is not an app on the iPhone. First, go to Settings>FaceTime and make sure that it's turned on and has activated. Then, if you wish to call someone using FaceTime, find their entry in your Contacts and tap on the "FaceTime" button.

FaceTime is an app on the iPad and on the iPod Touch. I can't say for certain why Apple made that choice. However, it seems logical to me that all calls, whether traditional calls or FaceTime should be made from the Contacts app or the Phone app.

I have an iPhone5 and I *DID* have an icon on my home screen for FaceTime -- I used it frequently. I have not deleted anything. It just disappeared, and I'd very much like it back. Yes, I know FT is accessible via contacts, but that's just not as convenient for a frequent user.

FaceTime has never been an app on the iPhone, only on the iPad and iPod Touch. There is no way to get it "back". Sorry.

I'm 100% sure I had an App for FaceTime too, and it's gone on my iPhone 5 as well. The Contacts, FaceTime selection will work as well so I'm thankful for that information. It's just a couple extra steps in the process.

I know everyone keeps saying that there is no FaceTime icon on iphone 5. Well mine was there until this weekend. It was on my front page right next to my camera and instagram. I want to know why they removed it?

It was.... Disappeared from my 5 either Friday or Saturday

1. Select Settings > General > Restrictions.

2. Type the passcode. If you didn’t set the passcode, ask anybody who had access to the device if they set one.

I purchased 10days ago in Dubai the iPhone 5. Now i Cannot find FaceTime . I checked in settings but no FaceTime apears and also not in the restrictions. Its an inlocked brandnew iPhone . What can i do? Flying back to Dubai and return would Costa me 2 iphones on flitst tickets. Tanks if somewone can help me

Facetime is banned by law in KSA and UAE and has been permanently removed from all iPhone sold in those countries. There is no way to get facetime on that phone.

Correction about FaceTime, UAE does not ban FaceTime as per the UAE communication regulatory authority they allow VoIP and FaceTime but its up to ISPs to ban or enable the service, unfortunately if you buy an iPhone from etisalat or du in UAE FaceTime will be disabled, they asked apple to disable FaceTime and it will not show in the menu if you are in UAE but if you travel from UAE to Kuwait or Jordan if you change the SIM card to a local provider FaceTime will directly pop up in the settings menu after a small settings change sent to you by the provider as the local providers did ban it for a month or 2 then enable it to all their subscribers but if you go back to UAE FaceTime will disappear from the menu at the minute you insert the local provider SIM card.

The UAE and KSA governments require that Apple permanently remove Facetime from iPhones sold in that country as a condition of doing business there. It will never appear, even if you leave the country.

On iPhones sold in other countries in the Middle East that do have Facetime, it may be disabled when using it outside the country of origin.

The behavior you describe indicates you have a gray market phone from outside UAE that was illegally imported and sold there.

I don't know what you think is going to pressure anyone into enabling anything. Complain to the government.

hello everybody, i have a problem that u mentioned above about not having the facetime in my iphone's 5 settings, and when i ask the siri for it it says that i have to set-up an account first. ill be thankfull if anyone can just tell me if there may exist a solution or not.
