FaceTime missing from iPhone 5?

I've heard that the iPhone 5 is supposed to have FaceTime. Mine was just delivered today. I've set it up and noticed that the FaceTime icon simply does not exist. Is there something I am missing? How do I make it appear. I even asked Siri and it said "It doesn't look like you have an app named "FaceTime".

FaceTime is not an app on the iPhone. First, go to Settings>FaceTime and make sure that it's turned on and has activated. Then, if you wish to call someone using FaceTime, find their entry in your Contacts and tap on the "FaceTime" button.

Best of luck.

FaceTime app on the iPod touch/iPad 2 is actually a lowered Phone app. iPhone doesn't have FaceTime app; it already has the Phone app. iPod touch/iPad don't have Phone app so Apple gave them FaceTime purposes; however, if you go to your contacts, you will be able to use FaceTime if you click on the contact and then select FaceTime from that menu.

It is not a "fix" as nothing was broken before.

SMH. Facepalm. Sigh. Nothing of course, EXCEPT the OS. 🙂

Anyways, we are all so very glad that Apple fixed their horrible mistake! Now that this crippling issue is resolved, their bungling, bumbling designers can once again show their faces in public without feeling such intense shame and anquish over this utter fiasco! It took them only 1 year to unequivocally realize that, YES, there should absolutely, clearly, be a Facetime App on the iPhone and fix it. Since they've repaired that which was not broken, and the "whoops", or "oopsie!" if you will, incident has now been corrected, we can all finally enjoy an experience that is blissfully free from "errors" or "bugs" or "glitches" (like them forgetting to put the FT app in one of their devices)!

What's with the random use of bold, bold italic and underline? Looks like pretty poor design to me.
