iPhone 5 can't send SMS - gets an error when sending SMS

Hi. Can you help me. I have a sprint iphone. I am in India. Everything works I can receive SMS but can't send it.

you have to call apple care in london +448442090611 , explain your problem to them , they will file a case and give you the number ,it takes one or 2 weeks before you receive email from apple talling you that your iphone is unlocked , once you have this mail you have to back up your iphone on itunes , then reset and erase all context , then you will have to restore the latest software version thru itunes ,this is how i managed to totally unlock my iphone5 (sprint )

I've the same issue. I sent an email to support@apple.com and got the reply saing:

"Dear Apple Customer,

Thanks for writing to Apple. We're interested in your comments and feedback, but we don't read or respond to email sent to this address."

SEND ME YOU IMEI AND S/N at hsarathchandra @gmail.com....

Not sure what hsarathchandta is saying as replies are edited. i have the same texting problem though i bout a legal unlocked iphone 5 in India. Airtel cannot solve it. hsarathchandta - can you?

I am in India and WAS having the same problem. Some texts went thru and some did not.

Got fixed by ensuring the the number was properly formatted in the contacts mobile field with a + or 00 before the country code. Example: in India the country code and mobile number format is 91-xxxxxxxxxx. In the mobile field of contact it should read +91-xxxxxxxxxx or 0091-xxxxxxxxxx for the text to go through.

Please ensure that you delete previous attempt(s) in the iMessage to send text to the same number before making an attempt to text using the above change or it will pick the previous format through its cache (I persume).

Your solution did not work for me in Turkey.

The only solution is to get a developer account and install ios 6.1 beta ;)

I have same problem with my iPhone 5 Sprint carriered phone. I cant sent SMS with it. Everybody says with 6.1 Beta 3 that problem could be solved. I have not developer account so ı cant download it and try that solution. Could you send a link for me? thanx guys

It's true, just get the IOS 6.1 beta 3 and UPDATE your iphone, i just did it with 4 iphones 5 and all is working !!....

*** i said update, shift + ctrl on the update button... be carefull
