I was tested all... the only thing that will fix this for you is update to 6.1 beta 4.

Restore all as new iphone, then update (not restore) to firmware 6.1 beta 4.

OMG, its a very long convo. I stay in Vietnam and I'm having the same problem. Can someone send me a clear guide please? Try to read all this but I totally lost.

I understand. I had same problem with both my Sprint CDMA phones. fernandezjayfixed my problem for me. 100% and REALLY FAST. He has a post a few up.

It's really the ONLY real way to do it. Doing Restore and update does NOT work. its an issue with how the phone reads SMS over the CDMA network when the phone is on a GSM network. Anyone that tells you to restore and update doesnt know what they are talking about or doesnt understand the problem properly.

I spend days trying to fix this problem and Fernandezjay fixed it in a few minutes. he has an Ebay store. he will charge you for the service, but it was worth it to me.

Dont spend even a cent to fix the problem! Just write an email to the adresses mention messages ago! They will answer your email with the solution! Just be patient! The delay can be like 10 days! But it will work and for free!

I understand its confusing. I had many problems trying to get mine to work. Tried everything. Many many restore, updating restore again and nothing worked. I think its an issue of the CDMA trying to work on GSM network.

I am in Dubai and I also could not get the iphone to avtivate on the local (Etisalat) network. This was a big headache for me. So i went on Ebay and had a "International Unlock" doene. Then after lots of searching and restores and all other messing around, none of which worked, I got contact with fernandezjaythrough this forum and he fixed this problem for me. He charged me $45 dollars. and it was done in the time I could resotre the phone.

With the 100$ unlock + 45$ SMS unlock + the phone the phone was still cheeper than buying off contract from ebay. prbably saved about 150$ - 200$

Now the phone uses FaceTime and Imessage over the network with no restrictions.

he has an Ebay store now, so its easier. when I contated him there was no stroe. But he communicates well and answers questions quickly and clearly

Im still waiting for support from Apple. I think a lot of it depends on the level of service you have in your country and region. in Dubai, the service is getting better but Etisalat (the network) block Skype, FaceTime and Imessage, so sending emails and hoping it will work is all well and good. but I want actual solutions that work.

Thats what I got when I paid.

It's up to the indevidual to choose their own solution. give them the information and if THEY CHOOSE its worth the money then its up to them.

If they want to wait, no problem. At leat now thay have all the information to make the decision.

I am sure that ios 6.1 will fix this issue because I tried it on my device. People above telling 6.1 not fixing SMS problem are liar or clumsy or greedy for money or their devices are completely locked to Sprint carrier.

I called Apple Support, the problem seems to be with Sprint iPhones which sold to use outside of US, it will be GSM Unlocked and LTE Locked, just provide them with the suitable information that you paid full price with it and they will do the trick for u!

It took me 10 minutes on phone and the problem solved within the next 12 hours.

someting happend with my posted link..it goes suspended a few ours after i posted it...its realy wierd maybe

someone shut the website off because of that,,i have an info also that if you email sprint with your iphone information they will somehow unlocked it anywhere you are..but i think they are also sending private link for the beta ios 6.1 ipsw

someone is making money for this...
