App updates not showing in App Store

Ever since I updated my iPhone 4S to iOS 6, the App Store has not been showing updates properly. Periodically, it will show a badge indicating that there are updates for apps available. But when I open the App Store, I see this:

If I tap on another tab, like Charts or Featured, and then come back to Updates, it still says all apps are up to date. I have to force quit the App Store app (double tap Home button, tap and hold on App Store icon then tap the minus sign, then hit the Home button again) and then open it again in order to see this:

A similar thing also happens sometimes when there is no badge, but I decide to go in to the App Store to manually check for an update. It will show no badge on the Updates tab, and the main screen says all apps are up to date. But when I force quit App Store, and open it again, it will show updates are available.

Prior to iOS 6, we could tap on the Updates button and it would force a refresh and check for updates again. That no longer seems to be the case. That in addition to it intermittently or incorrectly showing updates makes it difficult to know if app updates are actually available.

Is this just my iPhone or is anyone else experiencing something similar? Either way, does anybody have a solution?

The same here!!! appstore shows "All apps are up to date", even though some apps have updates if I search them one by one.

yes I have been facing the same issue, since yesterday my app store has been showing all apps up to date, no updates available when I know there r many updates available. And this issue is present with both the iPhone app store as well as the itunes store on my desktop. Definately an issue from apple's end.

OK, seriously, what's up with Apple recently?

I'm an avid Apple fan and have invested money in Apps, but recently, they pretty much mess up every single thing they do, especially on the software side.

I'm having this No-Updates problem too since a few days.

This probably doesn't even happen on Play Store...

I also have the same problem but when I force shut down the apps store and then open it , it still dosent shows the updates on my iPhone 4 on iOS 6.0.1

For the record: I'm on iOS 5.1 - this is totally independant of your iDevice, it's a pure server-side problem that Apple need to fix. No amount of rebooting and killing the App Store app will fix it.

On both my ipod touch 4th gen, running iOS 6.0.1 and my up to date itunes on my mac, both claim all apps are up to date...which I find hard to believe since I have 209 apps on there and the last updates I got were almost a week ago!

What's up???

I am reading threads here it's on apple itunes store server end and other stuff I don't really understand, like ? iOS 6 bugs, but my apps had updates fine last week, when I still had the same version of itunes and iOS ?

Got the same problem with Ipad running ios 5.1.1

Have at least 10 updates to do, but appstore shows all apps up-to-date.

Looks like this one has been fixed at last, at least for me, as my devices are now reporting updates available again. As I didn't change anything it's clearly a server side issue.

Would be nice if Apple Tech Support updated this thread to say they had fixed the issue for their users.

I can see updates now, but I still cannot see the "downloaded" or "download" option for apps that I have bought - instead it shows the price. There are some old non-HD apps that I bought long ago and no longer use on my iPad. I now have an iPod Touch as well and want to re-download these apps. Since the iTunes page for the app lists the price and not "download," I'm worried I'll be billed again.

The apps are still available, so that's not the issue. Several Angry Birds apps that I bought last week have the price listed on my work computer rather than "download." It's either iTunes 11.0.1.12 (although I've been using it for at least a week and didn't have this problem at first), or something is wrong with the servers.
