Then you have a totally unrelated issue. Try removing the Facebook account and re adding it again

I tried what you suggested without success.

Post to facebook not working on Safari and Notification Center, tweet only works on safari.

I understand that, it is a totaly unrelated issue as the click to post on Facebook from the notification centre always worked. The issue was with the share button option in Safari. What OS X version have you got?

Strange, I have the same version and everything is ok with mine. Had an issue with the Mac Book on 10.8.2 but after following the steps described in my blog it fixed the issue I was having. I have run out of options, only thing I can think of recommending is to call Apple and tell them that you are still having the same issue although it looks like it's fixed for everyone else.

I can confirm, that posting via the Safari FB share button is now functional again.

Ipolicarpo and the OP seem to have indeed another issue, as FB posting via Notification Center was never impaired here.

UPDATE: reinstalled OSXUpdate10.8.2 and everything is working now. 🙂

Uhmm, how do you reinstall the update? Is it a good solution? Because, i mean, a downgrade sounds a little dangerous

Download the combo update from ... http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1581

Don't forget the supplemental update too ... http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1600

NOTE: As a rule, I never use Software Update for OS updates. I find manually downloading and installing the Combo Update (not the incremental one) .. eliminates a lot of headaches.

So, my macbook is 10.8.2 with that supplemental update too. So, to reinstall the update, i just download and execute them? There is no risk?

Well, I just reinstalled both updates and nothing changed. Still the "Facebook connection failed" problem continues u_u. Now we know that the problem isn't about the installation.

By the way, i tried reinstalling the java update too and nothing happened.

Please apple help!

(I have posted some steps in my blog that might fix the issue once and for all. It was fixed automatically on my Mac Pro but I had to do the following on my Mac Book Air to fix the issue.
