FaceBook integration not working in Mac OS

Same problem here since yesterday. It seems a widespread error.

Calling Apple iPhone support now. I encourage others to do the same.

I also called. I was told Engineering is looking into the problem, most likely caused by FB

I hope they sort it out soon as I have come to rely on it, although it is a new feature. It is really handy and a very effecient way to post from a webpage without spending time copying and pasting

I experienced the same problem, both in Safari on my Mac, and in an iOS app that I'm writing. However, in the latter case, I am in control of what gets posted, so I started tinkering. One of the options when creating the post is to include a URL in it; when I include the URL, I get this error. However, omitting the URL and just including plain text, it works just fine. However, when sharing something from Safari, you're including the URL of the page you're sharing, and thus it craps out; not so when posting from Notification Center.

So yeah, it sounds like something changed on the FB end that's causing this to barf. Hopefully Apple's engineers are on top of it, and beating FB engineers into submission. 🙂

Best guess is a change in the Facebook API. FB is constantly dabbling with their software, rolling out new developments to clusters of users at a time... so now and then something gets inevitable broken in third party apps, that connect to FB. MenuTab for instance had to update nearly every other week to keep track with the constant changes.

for me it works too. now i can post websites again on FB. dont know what it was, but it works!

I have posted some steps in my blog that might fix the issue once and for all. It was fixed automatically on my Mac Pro but I had to do the following on my Mac Book Air to fix the issue.
