iTunes 11 crashes when opening the store - no error message

I just installed iTunes 11 and it all works OK except the store.

When I click on the store, it all looks normal at first, but after the banner and the Quick links are displayed, I get a Windows message that the program is not working correctly and offering to close it. There is no error message.

The problem is system wide.

It did not respond to a complete uninstall of all Apple software and reinstall.

It still happens when I do a selective startup with basic services.

I have the following Segoe fonts: Segoe Print, Segoe Script, Segoe UI and Segoe UI symbol regular.

Could it be some other font issue?

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Mine also worked once I ran in Administrator Mode. I had these same types of issues accessing different applications from Windows 7 with my work laptop. Very Security oriented systems.

Rather than have to run in Administrator mode all the time, I accessed properties from the Itunes Icon, Security tab, d and you will see the different users noted.

If you are logged in as an Administrator you will see this User has Full Access - all boxes checked. But as just your normal User profile, you only have a couple of options. So when in administrator mode - I highlighted my regular user profile, clicked on Edit icon for permissions and ensuring the user profile I wish to update is still highlighted, check off all the boxes at the bottom, and Apply. Then going forward you should not have to run in Administrator mode for your User profile.

The new crash being reported by a lot of users is caused by the new package added to Intel graphics driver package called OpenCL. It is found in packages for laptops and desktops. Here is a batch I made to fix the issue in an unattended mode.

Well after nearly two years of Itunes crashing when trying to go into the store, re-installing, trying many many fixes supplied by the good people here and downloading various software I just plain gave up.

I did however re-install itunes some weeks ago even then the store still did not work. So imagine my utter astonishment when I , by accident, tried it today and it now works. I have come out and gone back in even got my wife to try it..............bloody wonderful. Don't ask me what has happened except I do have BitDefender anti virus plus now as apposed to AVG free and also I have Malwarebytes installed. This will probably not help anybody except to hang in there and you never know.

These posts have been going on for TWO YEARS NOW! And we can't get a clear answer and a fix for why when we connect to the itunes store the software crashes!??? Anyone at Apple care about this? I would think if they did the problem would have been fixed by now. It's now 2014 and it's still (again?) happening, now with 11.2.2.3.

This they call a good company? If anyone else would behave this way their stock would be in the toilet.
