Apple Maps - My business location is wrong, and I don't have any iDevices to fix it

My customers are getting ****** off at us because they're constantly getting lost and are late for their classes. I've tried the other solutions in the forum (Yelp, Localeze, Tom Tom) to no avail. I then called Apple, and they informed me that Apple Maps has no contact emails or phone numbers where we can get the problem worked out directly.

I'm hoping I have more luck here.

My business is:

Pepper's School of Music

San Antonio, TX 78260

I believe Apple maps is sending people to the middle of the neighborhood, but I haven't seen the exact location because I don't currently have an iphone.

Here is where the marker should be:

Google Maps - http://goo.gl/maps/YMkIW

Bing Maps - http://binged.it/121qDFC

Mapquest - http://mapq.st/UOBekp

Could one of you awesome members please correct the marker in your maps app? Or could someone from Apple Maps please contact me directly?

Thanks so much

Barrett,

To Further add to this,

In Apple Maps iOS6

If you key in:

Pepper's School of Music

San Antonio, TX 78260

It plots to 119 Mountain Echo

Timberwood parl Texas, 78260

.

.

.

However, if I key in:

Pepper's School of Music

27514 Timberline Dr.

San Antonio, TX 78260

Maps finds the address correctly.

Is there another Pepper's school of music.

Is the Mountain Echo address completely inappropriate? Did you move? If so, I can report that as incorrect.

I am having the same problem. Patients are being led to the wrong side of the street for the following business location:

Cornea Associates of Texas

10740 N Central Expy #350

Dallas, TX 7523

Correct Location Markers (northbound/right side)

Google Maps: https://plus.google.com/111531864240926008033/about

Bing Maps: http://www.bing.com/local/details.aspx?lid=YN826x243064299

Yelp: http://www.yelp.com/biz/cornea-associates-of-texas-dallas-2

Incorrect Apple Location Marker (southbound/left side)

Can someone help me fix/report the marker location? I do not have access to any devices that have the iOS6 software.

Thanks!

Would there be a chance somebody could fix this for me, my place of business is showing up in the wrong place. The address is 6 Ontario Terrace, Canal Road, Rathmines, Dublin, Ireland - but its registering on the system as the next building over. Would you be able to move the address from where it is over to the building with the blue dot (see below). My Siri reminders dont work how I hoped because it doesnt register that I've arrived to work!

Be great if you could solve this, thank you 🙂User uploaded file

I am having the same problem with an old business address showing up on Apple Maps. The name of the business is:

Blink Marketing & Design and the CORRECT ADDRESS is:

60 Cinema Lane, #220

St. Simons Island, Geogia

31522

The INCORRECT address that shows up on Apple Maps is:

1616 Newcastle Street

Brunswick, Georgia

31520

On my iPhone Maps application, I have "reported a problem" twice to no avail. We are in the "Digital Image" business and I can not tell you how bad this makes our company look...and we have no control.

Thank you for any and all help with this

My iPhone map is still showing Newcastle, which we moved from months ago. I'll reboot -- don't know how to clear cache on map.

Our web address is www.blink-gravity.com. I am very curious where you are seeing the old address as our web site was the first thing we changed upon consummating the move.

Thank you for your help, again. Maybe we are getting to the crux of this.

Lucasincus,

I am still seeing your Brunswick address in Apple Maps. You are not showing up for queries in St. Simons Island. Your data is up to date in both Factual and Neustar Localeze - two key data sources for Apple Maps - but your Brunswick address is still active in Acxiom's database. Acxiom is another data set that Apple uses for its maps. It is possible that Apple is trusting this old data from Acxiom v. the newer data. This may be a case of Apple not having updated its index in while to see the new Factual and Localeze data. There may also be other data sets that Apple is pulling from that we don't know about yet that also could be causing this issue.

At the least you should try to get the Brunswick address closed in Acxiom's data. No guarantee, but it might do the trick.

If you need any help doing this, you can contact me here: http://applemapsmarketing.com/contact/

LawlessBros,

Here are some things I have observed about your listing:

  1. I am not sure, but it appears that this Yelp listing is the problem: http://www.yelp.fr/biz/lawless-brothers-donaghmede. You should probably claim this listing and update the info. I didn't think Yelp data overrode the Apple Maps data, but...
  2. It does not appear you are listed in TomTom. TomTom is one of the major European data suppliers for Apple Maps. Since the only data AM has for you is from Yelp, that may be what's causing the issue. You can check/submit a listing here: https://mycompany.places.tomtom.com/
  3. You have two other listings in Yelp I could find. I don't think this is the big issue, but unless those two listings are both driving a lot of business, I would consolidate to one listing.
  4. I found listings for you that have incorrect address info:
    http://www.localbusinesspages.ie/category.aspx?category=Television
    http://www.yourlocal.ie/search/county-dublin/televisions
    http://www.yalwa.ie/Television-Repair/30710/1/
this can possibly screw you up in Google, so understainding where these sites get there data and correcting it at the source is probably a good idea, as well as correcting it on these sites by claiming/updating.
  5. It's possible there is an issue with your address - for some reason Apple Maps has the right address but is displaying it as the 13 Dublin Road address. If this is the case, it likely is originating at https://maps.osni.gov.uk/CMSPages/moreinfo_address_data.aspx which is supplying address and other Ireland mapping data for Apple. It's not clear to me how you can get this data corrected at this level, but the you might be able to contact someone at the Ordnance Survey of Northern Ireland and they can help. I tend to doubt this is the problem but if the other stuff doesn't work, you might want to consider this option.

If you have any questions, feel free to ping me here or on my blog at https://maps.osni.gov.uk/CMSPages/moreinfo_address_data.aspx and definitely keep us posted on how it goes if you try to fix this stuff.
