This search will find you a list of apps compatible with iOs 4.2 and earlier.

Copy the whole string of words, slashes and quotes below, and paste it in the google search window. Some are paid, some free. Don't throw out a functioning iTouch!

Thank you! That did the trick. I was looking for a simple app to play "white noise" to get my baby to fall asleep using my old 2G iPhone, and this did it! I searched manually at first but almost all apps that popped up on the AppStore kept saying "You need. 6.0 or you need 7.1"..so it got annoying really quickly. I even tried following a manual online that would allow my old 2G iphone to operate like a new iPhone...nope, just a headache that wouldnt restore the phone as promised. So this was a simple solution. Thanks so much!

I have spent a LOT of time in the app store and have compiled a long list of apps in my notes section of what apps I can download. There are a lot of lite version apps on the list, but I didn't have the money to purchase the full version, but most of the full versions are compatible as well. Here's the list.
