I instructions were compilcated but I followed them I thought really well, manage to freeze my computer that they all warned about. Took it to apple and they wanted to wipe it, of course I had no back up. Luckily I know a computer wizz who fixed it for me lastnight without losing anything! Genieo is a plague, I have learned my lesson!

I'm glad you're rid of Genieo, but you need to learn a very important lesson here: start backing up! The next time you have a problem, you may not be so lucky. In addition to software problems, all hard drives die at some point. My own just died last week, but because I had a good backup system, I lost nothing but time. If I hadn't had backups, I would have lost decades worth of digital documents, photos, etc... most of it entirely irreplaceable.
Start backing up ASAP!

Please download, run and post the results from EtreCheck.
Hold down the shift key when logging in (or, if you have automatic login enabled, hold down the shift key at startup until you see the menu bar appear). This will prevent your system from trying to re-open what was open when you forced it to shut down. Then find the Genieo installer (it should be in the folder your web browser uses for downloads) and delete it. You can then restart normally.
I booted with shift into safe boot.
The folder where Safari puts it's downloads is in the Downloads folder but there is no Installer file there. There is no installer file in the computer that Finder could detect.
I found the dmg installer for the app that brought geneio into my system, Screenflow. I trashed it and emptied the trash. It seemed to work fine for a while but a few minutes ago i saw Installer pop back up in the Activity Monitor. Something must still be calling it...

Take a look at some of the other posts on that forum:

Every single one starts out that way. In fact, each one actually is exactly the same text in entirety, with the exception of the name of the software!
Further, the "free download" that each one keeps referring to as a solution to the problem is actually the insidious scam product MacKeeper. The entire site is nothing more than a scam to sell copies of MacKeeper.
You really need to pay closer attention to what you're looking at online... putting your trust in garbage sites like this one is why you're in the mess you are in the first place!

Aha! You've got a new variant of Genieo. I have never seen one that creates those files. I had found one that creates a "Completer" app, but it did not create those files.

What garbage! Obviously an ad site for "Mac Uninstaller" (aka MacKeeper) by the looks of it.
Did you read the instructions on that site? Open Applications and drag it to the trash? How hard is that.
