Great!
Maybe I missed something...
SETTINGS / GENERAL / ITUNES ??? I don't have that path.
I made in Settings > Itunes Store
No love here.
Totally shut down app store app
went to SETTINGS / ITUNES & APP STORES
logged out
closed settings
restarted phone
went back to SETTINGS / ITUNES & APP STORES to make sure still logged out
opened app store app
BAM - "too many HTTP redirects" but can still look at Top Charts, Genius (though not on), Search, Updates tabs.
Oh well. Maybe 6.1.1 will fix this.
Sorry its should be just Settings > Itunes> tap you user ID > Select "Sign out"
Was happening to me also. It didnt start until i tunred on Use Cellular Data under Settings>iTunes & App Stores. Once I turned it off everything was working fine again. Give that a shot. Hope it helps.
I had navigated the App Store back to the updates page (so it wasn't displaying the error message anymore), then force quit it
Open the settings app
Tap iTunes and app stores
Tap your account name at the top
Tap View Apple ID
Enter your password
Tap done
Quit Settings
Open App Store
It worked for me
Hey! sathis1310... That did it! Thanks so much for taking the time to type out your solution!
I had this issue and nothing was working. I went to the App Store web page on the apple website and accessed the App Store thru that. That cleared up the problem. Here's the link:
I had the same problem just this morning and I had to do everything to actually make it work.
1) sign out of iTunes: Go to settings >> iTunes&App store >> select "Apple ID" and sign out
2) exit all apps: press home button twice and press (-) sign on all open apps (i think you can close only the App store but i closed all just to make sure)
3) reboot: press and hold down the power and home button at the same time for about 10 seconds and press power button again
4) open App store and see if the message still appears; and finally
5) Sign back in
I think the reason the message showed up was because i clicked an in-app ad. Well lesson learned, next time i'll search the app in the app store instead of clicking an ad.
None of these suggestions in this and the other threads in the forums are working for me. I still get the error.
Has anyone actually tried updating their phone to iOS 6.1.1?
Try doing it twice. First time i did that, message was still there.
What lesson learned? You suppose to be able to click on ads with no issues.
Thank you! This actually helped!
