Feb 19, 2013 1:26 PM in response to Musikene20by Caladin,The iOS devices do not have a saved history of what was on the device. Once you erase something, unless it was saved to a system like PhotoStream or imported to a computer, then there is no where to pull those pictures from to put them back on the device.
Kudos to KiltedTim for the quick response.

Feb 19, 2013 2:16 PM in response to Musikene20by amy_lou,I know it's unfortunate, but with Apple as with any tech company, it is up to the consumer to back up his or her data, not the company's. And in this case, it seems like your computer failed to successfully import the photos from your phone, not that your phone failed to do a process. The camera/scanner wizard that pops up when you plug in your phone is a Microsoft program

May 23, 2013 11:08 PM in response to Musikene20by TheBertman,Take careful note: Dr.Fone can NOT recover images directly from an iPhone 5 or 4S, only extract them from an existing backup. I assume they would if they could, and I don't see any other player in the game.
Does ANYONE have any other solution? I'm going to try as long as I can not to add anything to my phone, but it's going to get overwritten sooner or later...

Jun 21, 2013 8:57 PM in response to Musikene20by asfromnew,There are many data stored on your iPhone devices, when you deleted some by accident, you can still recover them unless you have backup your iPhone with iTunes, so, it is highly recommend to have a regular backup for your iPhone, if backup, all of your data is still there, with iStonsoft iPad/iPad/iPhone Data Recovery, you can easily extract backup from your iTunes: hope this help you: How to recover deleted photos from iPhone

Jul 5, 2013 5:00 AM in response to Musikene20by Hannly,This is what I did and got my photos back. I had the same problem today and had just updated Facebook app and then suddenly got spit out of mail app. Rebooted and lost all my photos. Did not have iCloud. My solution:
- on iPhone settings Mail, Contacts, Calenders - iCloud - contacts set to off
- on PC, downloaded and opened up iCloud panel.
- signed in with my Apple ID.
- chose to only upload Outlook contacts, calenders and tasks
- wait till everything is on the cloud
- on iPhone settings Mail, Contacts, Calenders - iCloud - contacts now set to on
- set calenders to on
8 look in contacts and they are all there

Jul 4, 2013 8:02 PM in response to Musikene20by gail from maine,Would you expect that Cannon "should work at" somehow recovering photos you have deleted from the camera? You deleted them. You told the system to delete the photos from your phone before checking to see if they all imported correctly.
Your memories of South Africa aren't gone....your photos are. Your memories are still in your head.
Take some personal responsibility here. If these photos were as important as you have indicated, then you should have made absolutely certain that they were backed up correctly and completely before deleting them, essentially, from your camera!
For all the wonderful things that Apple is, they are not magic. Sorry they can't pull photos out of thin air. But again, they are in good company with every other camera manufacturer in the world....
Sorry you lost your pictures, but you need to need to man up on this one....you and you alone are the one responsible for deleting them.
