iPhone 5 not waking up! Have to press home/sleep button numerous times

Hey Apple peoples

Does anyone have an issue w their iPhone 5 where pressing the home/sleep buttons does NOT wake up the phone in one press? I have only had mine since late Oct 2012 and several times a day it just decides to have an extended snooze. I have to hit the home button or sleep button numerous times before it kicks into gear. Mucho annoying!! Watch this short vid to see what I mean: http://www.flickr.com/photos/go_bombers/8489949001/in/photostream

Phone has been updated w latest software, backed up, restored...nothing will fix it so hoping someone out there has an answer!

Danke schon!

I am having the same issue, iPhone 5 only 2 days old and does not wake up.

It's definitely NOT a hardware issues so there is no point in going to Genius.

My suspect is VODAFONE as I am with Vodafone as well .

This issue is really annoying ,Tim cook pls fix this !!!!

Used Tim's name so that Apple may respond if they have any filter on the forums :p

I have reset it ,changed game settings as advised by OP.

Any update for this issue guys ?

I called Apple this morning but they advised to turn off LTE which was already turned off before i called them.

What is the use of iPhone 5 if you have to turn of LTE ????????

Hey iviren

There is still no love, unfortunately. I have made all the changes suggested by other users, also turned off LTE etc but it's still playing up.

I found a thread on the VF site dedicated to this issue: http://community.vodafone.com.au/t5/iOS-iPhone-and-iPad/iPhone-5-home-amp-lock-b uttons-unresponsive/td-p/218008/page/6 I have since been in touch with people from VF and Apple have also contacted us to gather more data and said it appears to be a VF only issue and they are getting details to try and work it out.

My battery is crap too. I'm not on it heaps, just a "regular" amount but it's still on it's last legs by noon. Really aggrevating, esp when I'm out and go to use maps to get somewhere and it DIES!

The iPhone 4s was sooooo good and hassle free for me (on 3). Really annoyed that this supposedly better phone and better network has so far been nothing but a pain in the ***!

Thanks wheetie.

I have already posted on that Vodafone forum but I am not gonna submit IMEI details to Vodafone. I am sure if all Vodafone customers are facing this issue then why they are collecting info of ALL people. To test anything 10-20 customer details should be more than enough.

All iPhones are same and Vodafone Carrier settings are 4.1 so what extra they want to know ???? Does not make any sense to me. lots of people are affected for long and they still collecting information...
