iPad can't connect to App Store.

iPad won't connect to the App Store at all. It's not my wifi because iPad mini works just fine. I have tried changing the date, hard reset, logging out then logging back in, and still nothing! Any ideas?

iPad, iOS 6.1.3

So First off I had this problem happen to me a few times. The best way I have found to fix it is.

Settings> iTues & App Store> Username> Sign out... Hard Reset your Device and wait to a count of 5 before turning it back on.

Then once you have restarted your iPad. Go to Settings> iTues & AppStore and Sign in. This should fix it. If not Please Refer to the team at apple.

This took me some time to figure out but it works every time I have had this issue.

I'm just wondering why I had to do this in the first place? I had a 64gb and traded it in for the one with more gb and I never had to go to settings and do this "time switch thing" with the 64gb ipad. Could there be something wrong with my new ipad? Also both we're new... Like why I had to do this on this ipad but not other one. Is it a hardware or software issue? Should I go get another ipad since I just go this one today? Maybe apple didn't install things right on this ipad? Will I have to fix more things on it?

Idk just opening up a brand new ipad and having something already WRONG with it makes me frustrated and discouraged. Idk if I can trust the apple ipad product since it seems to have so many glitches... Also the screen was flickering when I was downloading new apps is this normal? Also I touched one app in the App Store and it opened up the one above it as if I were clicking the one above it when I didn't... It only happened once..

Idk I'm just scared these problems are just a SIGN that I have a BAD IPAD. ?????

Hi,

I had the same problem as you but I managed to fix it by doing the following:

1. Fully turn off your ipad

2. Turn your ipad back on

3. Go to settings> general> restrictions> at the top it will either say enable restrictions or disable restrictions - if it says enable restrictions you will need to talk to apple bout the code - if it says disable restrictions, click on it, type a pin code in, then re-enter the pin code so you will be disabling the restrictions.

After that it should work, if not please reply!

Thanks, AndreasMalthe! Your solution finally worked for me.

I am using iOS 7.1.1 on my iPad. I was not able to connect to the App Store or iTunes. Here are all the steps I tried before yours worked:

1) I set the date forward a year then tried to sign into iTunes. I still could not sign in.

2) I set the date back to automatic. I still could not sign in.

3) I used Reset > Reset All Settings. I still could not sign in. NOTE: this still remembered my Wifi connection and password.

Then I read your post and used the Reset > Reset Network Settings. After my iPad restarted, I had to select my Wifi network and enter my password then I was finally able to login!

My story: unable to connect to iTunes Store from iPad or MacBook Pro. All the above suggestions failed to resolve the problem for the iPad. This was using my iPhone with WiFi Personal Hotspot as network. Because the Apple Knowledge Base article on the subject focuses almost exclusively on network issues, I decided to try our network at work, instead of the iPhone. And voilĂ ! worked like a charm, on iPad as well as Mac. So apparently there's something squirrelly going on with the iPhone network connection -- even though all other types of network access seem to work fine.
