Anyone else having "No service" problem after update to 6.1.3? iPhone 4S

I went from iOS 6.0 to iOS 6.1.3 last week and now I have "No service". Happend right after update. I have done everything I can to try to fix it except restore to earlier iOS, which is not possible with iPhone 4S. My SIM works fine in my older iPhone 4 with iOS 6.0.

I have tried to reset all settings, network settings, restore from DFU mode, recover/restore mode. As a fresh phone. NOTHING makes a difference.

Anyone else having this problem? I now have a feeling that I have to pay for it to be fixed (probably just giving me a new phone). All just because I wanted to update my iPhone. This is Apple's fault, not mine. Thank you.

Perhaps you can try the "Restore iPhone..." option and just backup all of your settings and apps before doing so. I read somewhere that there are times that an over-the-air update can be bad, and typically updating via USB to iTunes on a PC is a better option.

If that doesn't work, then I woudl have to agree with some of the other posters, about a snag in your carriers wireless services. It could be a temporary issue, but I would suggest attempting a full Restore first.

I've been having this "No service" issue myself for a couple of weeks now. My problem has been I lose signal when the phone is in sleep mode, then when I wake it up, it takes it a little while to get service back. After trying lots of different things, (and about gave up, was going to take it to the Apple store for a replacement).... finally figured out it was the 8 ball pool app motoSport mentioned! Uninstalled it, and sure enough, it works like it should! I'm going to report this to them.

Me niether (ie I don't have 8 ball p installed). Tried everything including left my phone to a mecanic (I don't know if this is the right word for a guy fixing with phones). He told me the phone was just fine. And here I am with a phone I can't f**g use. Apple! For real, is this the best you can do? We paid a lot of money for these phones.

Now, one really wierd thing is that everything worked just fine for four months, then last friday it just went down. "No service" since then. Most people seem to have had the problem the whole time... Am I wrong?

And one more thing. If an app was to cause these things, why wouldn't the very same games cause the very same issues on my other phone "iPhone4)? I have the exact same games there.

Just wanted to pass along -- I've had the same problem and have Apple Care. They've replaced the phone twice, and AT&T has replaced the SIM twice, yet the problem keeps happening.

I also had 8-ball pool on the phone, and now that it's been mentioned, the problems really seem to start after that app is installed. I will kill the app and see if the problem continues.

hope this helps
