Anyone else having "No service" problem after update to 6.1.3? iPhone 4S

I went from iOS 6.0 to iOS 6.1.3 last week and now I have "No service". Happend right after update. I have done everything I can to try to fix it except restore to earlier iOS, which is not possible with iPhone 4S. My SIM works fine in my older iPhone 4 with iOS 6.0.

I have tried to reset all settings, network settings, restore from DFU mode, recover/restore mode. As a fresh phone. NOTHING makes a difference.

Anyone else having this problem? I now have a feeling that I have to pay for it to be fixed (probably just giving me a new phone). All just because I wanted to update my iPhone. This is Apple's fault, not mine. Thank you.

Interesting. Now, I don't have 8-ball. And on my iPhone 4, 6.0.1. everything works fine. On iPhone 5 6.1.3 = no service.

Combo: some apps, 8-ball among other apps/6.1.3...?

Therefore I wonder what other apps could cause this? For all I know I didn't install any new apps lately. Could be an update that I'm not aware of...

Good luck.

Unforunately, I ruled out all apps by doing a complete wipe and restore to a fresh install of 6.1.3 firmware. No apps were installed other than what comes with the firmware. Same issues.. haven't installed anything since during my testing..

Interesting thing is my wife's iphone 4s doesn't exhibit this problem.. And her model number is *newer* than mine, even though I bought them at the same time. I wonder if there's a defect in older 4s models.

Problematic phone model: MD270LL/A

Working phone model: MC922LL/A

Both are iPhone 4s with AT&T

So it seems fairly clear that they acknowledge there is an issue with 8-ball. I know this isn't the answer to everyones issue but it would appear to be related to some of them.

Apple has definately peaked for now. Samsung will be the leader for a while, and who knows; maybe Nokia will be back again..?

But for now... Me... I'm SO not going to buy myself another iPhone. Now both of them (5 & 4) started to behave very wierd in another way. Every now and then they ask me for my apple login (the one to type if you'd like to buy an app for instance) for no reason. What really annoys me about it is that it tells me it's the wrong password. AAaarghh -
