How to update firmware for SSD Toshiba Air 2012

Apple is responsible for supplying firmware updates to its own hardware and this is done through the Mac App Store program. In the Apple menu select Software Update and any updates that are available will appear in the MAS program. If this drive is a third party add on check with the vendor you bought it from.
