To answer my own question ( 'cause someone may need it ),

Go To Applications/Logic Pro ( that's Logic Pro 9 ) ctrl+Click Show Package Contents and then go to MIDI Device Plug-ins...

User uploaded file

Copy the 2 highlighted component, Axiom Pro.bundle + Axiom.bundle and go to

/Logic Pro x/Contents/MIDI Device Plug-ins

User uploaded file

and the paste 2 items....

Voila!!!

Everything works like acharm so far... 🙂

Now, I can really enjoy Logic Pro X

Masaiga is right, this works....at least to restore the functionality. Once you download the file (as shown in the video linked within that post), for Axiom 49 Pro, there are actually a total of three files to install in Logix X from two different zipped files.

Now, M-Audio hopefully will still update HyperControl because it isn't fully compliant with the newer features of Logic X, for example, the Axiom 49 Pro's encoders do not automatically map to Smart Controls.

Awesome --- Thank you for this post! Since installing LPX the Transport controls on my Axiom 61, 2nd Gen stopped working! I was trying to use the Learn features in LPX but using M-Audio's - HyperControl/DirectLink software was so much easier. I followed your instructions and I'm happy to report I now have my controls back! Thanks again you have def made my Day/Week/MONTH! 🙂

Tried these tips but Axiom Pro is not working even close to properly - no transport control, can't switch banks or tracks, or select tracks using the buttons under the faders....

If someone could check my check list, I'd greatly appreciate it:

- I've selected transport control in the Axiom LED window.

- I've located, copied and pasted the Axiom Bundles into Logic X's Midi Device Plug Ins folder.

- I've downloaded the DirectLink posted by JCrod07 - and installed it, but I don't get the option for Direct LInk in the input/output options of the Device windows. Also, how can I tell if there's a previous 32bit version around that might be mucking things up?

Just so you know, Axiom Pro has basicallly been inoperable for me since upgrading to OSX 10.8. Id prefer not to sell it but it's a brick to me most of the time and my patience with it is running thin.

Thanks for your help and expertise.

Hi there, I know you may not have the answer to this question but I'm about to buy either a A25 or A49 MK1. It's my understanding that the MK1s don't use DirectLink that used by the MK11s they are just seen with OSX and Logic X as "Class Compliant" ( I'm assuming thats just general midi, I'm a Guitar/Acustic Piano player so very new to the MIDI world ).

Does/Have anyone used the Axiom MK1 series with LPX, is it asy to map? And I really want it for its Pads so are they velosity sensitive?

Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

Hello there,

Unfortunatly I have 2 problems with that copy/paste solution:

- Firstly, I don' have Logic Pro 9 anymore so I've lost the axiom.bundle file

- Secondly, I own a Axiom 25 2nd gen which use DirectLink unstead of HyperControl and the Directlink drivers are not compatible with OS 10.8

So would it be possible that someone upload or send me the axiom.bundle file so I can paste in the right folder.

Many thanks 🙂,

Tiernan.

I bought an axiom 49 and took it back as its Auto-map software isnt compatible yet, rediciulous as a former Cubase user I always knew Logic PTools and Cubase are the top 3 DAWS... Anyway while I had it I realised I really only kneed a Keyboard for Pinao and synth sounds and to punch ina beat or two but.... I dont like the way the Drums are mapped in GM, I know this is off topic but can someone point me in the right direction on say how to swap what keys the bass drum and snare are on?

Thanks In Advance.
