iPad app store updates not working

There are two iPads in our household, an iPad 2 and an iPad Mini,. Both are running the latest IOS 6.1.3

On both the App Store badges show updates are to be done but the update page in the app is blank.

I updated some app in the purchased tab, but not all apps show there.

Since this issue arose simultaneously on both devices I suspect it is something Apple did.

For those who connect their iPads to their computer through iTunes, here is an easier work around than the Purchased apps option:

1. Open iTunes on your computer.

2. Select "Apps" in h column on the left.

3. Click "Check for updates" or "Update all apps" in the lower right corner, whichever is showing.

4. When iTunes has completed downloading all app updates, connect your iPad to your computer.

5. Select your iPad in the column on the left.

6. Click "Sync" in the lower right corner.

This will update your apps directly from your computer, remove the annoying red bubble, and save you from having to hunt through all of your purchased apps.

Hope this helps.

I am having the same issue on my iPad mini. I did update via iTunes but it still thinks one app needs to be updated and I cannot trace which one - either via Purchased or iTunes.

I have also tried rebooting a few times. Was close to doing a factory reset when I chanced upon this page - so at least this isn't restricted only to me. Apple definitely needs to figure this out.
