Epson Printer Filter Failure with rastertoescpII

That worked for me, thank you! The computer name was missing in the Sharing section of System Preferences. I filled it in, closed down the computer, left it for a few minutes, started it again, and voila! Printer is working fine. (It happened after updating from App Store)

I've been struggling with the same problem for the past two days. Made the mistake of calling Epson. They had me delete some files and download an older version of the Epson driver. Now I don't get the old error message any more, but when I try to print, the files just disappear into thin and don't show up in the printer queue. Anyone any suggestions how to fix this?

It was not the printer that was named, it was the computer.

I cannot believe how simple the issue was

- assign a name to the computer through System Preferences>Sharing

excellent result, it's really nice to stop banging my head against that brick wall

Yuengdog1983, I don't know how you came up with this, but you're my hero today! So incredibly frustrating to have Epson printers go down (while the Canon works fine), and it ends up being such a stupid thing that never should have been an issue. I was resetting and reinstalling all kinds of printer crap and on the verge of calling Epson (which would have been a huge waste). Thanks again!
