My music won't sync to my iPhone 4S after updating to 11.1

for me was all to do with the passcode. turn it off when syncing. went like clockwork after did this then i turned the passcode back on.

Switch off Passcode/Autolock on your phone. It kills the sync. Amazing bug...

It is Autolock/Passcode that kills the sync. Needs to be switched off on the phone before the sync.

I don't know why this worked, but it did. I changed the AppleID on my iPhone 4, and then changed it back (it's the same one I use on my Mac desktop. Once I did that, the sync worked fine.
