My music won't sync to my iPhone 4S after updating to 11.1
I just updated my iTunes to 11.1
Everything seems to be working out fine but when I sync music it gets to about 5/6 songs and then cancels the sync.
any suggestions?

I solved the sync problem on my iPhone by turning on the Flight Mode before connecting to the PC. Once connected, select the "Manually manage music and videos" in the summary tab - then drag albums one-two at a time, checking in Music on iPhone if each album appears (390 albums...😢).
Some albums (mainly CDs imported some time ago or MP3s) did not appear - this music will not play on ios7.
Then disconnect, reboot all, sync. It worked for me.
Regarding "recently added" playlist, that feature is not available on IOS7. See iOS7 Music App Playlist Editing
Hi,
Even I faced the same problem😕
After 3-4 weeks of discussion with apple customer care and apple's engineering. I finally got the Solution for this issue by following this link. 🙂

Cheers!
I would try restarting both the computer and the iPhone. Then try to sync again.
If that doesnt fix it, I would try recreating the itunes library with this:
What fixed it for me:
See if that doesn't work for you. I tried a lot of things that did nothing, but this seems to have fixed it, and quickly.
Oddly, my issue started seemingly at random. I've been on iOS7 and 11.1 iTunes a while and bought/downloaded/synced with no problem previously. This morning I tried to update a couple of songs into a Playlist .... no go, taking ages on the last step and nothing updating in my phone. My iPod syncs fine, my old iPhone syncs fine, my 4S doesn't.
Fixed it like this:
I then had my new songs in the playlist fine. I then tried adding an album, with Airplane mode off and it worked fine ................. go figure!?
Hope that helps someone, before they have to go & reset their phone.

I fixed the problem. Seems that ONE single album had something wrong with it and prevented iTunes from syncing the rest of my songs.
I deleted the album and the rest of my songs synced fine. thanks anyway!
I had go in and sync "selected artists" or whatever and go in and sync one artist at a time.
It all worked and then when I tried to sync that specific album it wouldn't work.
As soon as I got rid of it I could sync my entire library.
NOTHING WORKS FOR ME. I've tried all the albums, them album by album, also I deleted itunes and re-installed....and I cannot get any of my 800 songs from iTunes to my iPhone 5. I was always able to do that before iTunes 11.1. I'm very frustrated. Don't know whate else to do. 😟
I was having the same problem and this worked for me:
+ While in iTunes, click on your device
+ Select MUSIC from the menu along the top of the screen
+ Make sure SYNC MUSIC is checked (mine wasn't)
+ Select ENTIRE LIBRARY
+ Choose YES when asked if you want to change settings
+ Initiate Sync.
Hope it works!
Unfortunately, nothing is working for me either. I can't even sync a single song or album onto my phone. Let alone my entire music library, which I've checked and unchecked multiple times. Rebooting phone and/or computer doesn't work either.
There should be a quick update coming out soon. Hopefully that fixes it..
Try this, go into your music tab in iTunes when you have the phone selected, and hten uncheck the sync music checkbox.
Then apply it. Wait for it to finish, then go back in and check the checkbox to sync your music again. Then apply again.
I've tried that a few times too. The problem seems to be that it never can finish a sync. It just gets stuck on the last step and says "Waiting for changes to be applied" for an indeterminate period of time. I've let it go for hours but it has never finished.
Having the same problem, iTunes won't sync my music, gets to the last step in the process and just hangs there.
iPhone 4S on iOS 7
iTunes 11.1 on windows Vista.
Tried to uninstall/reinstall iTunes but didn't work.
Recreating the library didn't work.
Tried to sync single album with no luck.
Ensured the sync music checkbox was checked.
Phone has been reset, PC restarted several times.
Unless someone has a better suggestion looks like I will have to restore phone to factory settings and start from scratch.
