My FaceTime and front camera have a grainy background . Back camera view ok. What's wrong?
My iPad 3 has been freezing several times a day, forcing me to reboot it, including when synching with iTunes ever since I installed iOS 7 (direct download). It crashed several times during the initial installation of iOS 7 as well as 7.0.3.
I have disabled background app refresh, use only still wallpaper, turned off reduce motion etc but these have not fixed the freezing and crashng problem. My iPad still freezes several times a day. It happens especially when using the App store to install updates or new apps.
7.0.3 has not changed any of this behabhavior either. I have to post this on my iPad 1 running iOS 5 while waiting for my iPad 3 running iOS 7.0.3 to be usable again after a forced reboot.
I too tried to update to 7.0.03 to resolve the problems I've had with an iPad 3 on IOS 7. It rebooted and hung during the update and said it was not successful. iPad now unusable. I've got exactly the same problem as Kiwi Moa. My ipad is even more glitchy now - constantly pauses and it reboots and hangs.
Apple please sort this out.
Did you try reboot ur ipad.....press both home and power buttons same time until apple logo come up and then release it,data is not effected
There is nothing wrong with your camera. It's just the quality. For freezing issues try to connect ipad to itunes and restore software. Don't forget to back up data! This deletes everything!
Before you try to restore your ipad do this. Hold down the on/of button plus the home button for ten seconds at the same time. This keeps you data but it might not work. Once you hold down for ten seconds an apple logo will appear Wait for it to go away and you will be on the lock screen.
My ipad 3 is fine no issues whatsoever. If none of this works take it to an apple store and tell them what you did. Might be a hardware problem and not a software problem. You never know.
U should try restoring your ipad.. Sometimes itunes might not download the file properly or not install it properly... The best option is restoring where itunes will redownload ios 7.0.3 again.. And install again... If ur still having problems u should try deleting all the stuff on your ipad and select option of "set as new ipad" which comes up on the install screen of ios
after iOS 7.0.3 and several recovery i still get the problems indicated in this thread, with Safari Hangs and inability to add 2nd mail accounts .
I suggest you take it to an apple store it might be a problem on the inside. My iPad 3 is fine and there is no problem with anything. Works smooth and beautifully. Also did you try restoring it to factory as a new iPad and not as a backup?
My ipad 3 64 GB 3G has been working okay since original IOS 7 and through .0.2 and now 7.0.3. I felt that the lag in setting wallpaper was due to it setting up parallax display. I haven't tried it since most recent update. The only issue i have is not a big issue, just strange. An unexpected zoom to about 2x type size happens in the text window in email very occasionally (maybe 4 or 5 times)occurs--the recipient receives email in normal font size. Zoom is off, dynamic text is turned off in accessibility so can't figure out what it might be. Gestures are also off since Noteshelf app can't have gestured on and the wrist protection work.
Go to settings>icloud>storage and back up>back up
or back it up to a computer
after that preform a restore by going to
general>reset>erase all content and settings
this will delete everything except the enabled stuff on icloud.
You can view whats enabled by going to icloud in settings.
OK just to update this - I did manage to install 7.0.3 and now my ipad 3 is behaving nicely. The only thing I find is that when it updates an app in the background it just hangs. If I'm patient it goes back to normal.
I have also found that tunein radio now works properly - so the fault was apple's and not the company's.
Problem solved. Unfortunately the only/best solution is to restore iPad to Factory Default for iOS 7.0.3.
First make sure you have a full backup, preferably iTunes rather than just iCloud. Then perform a restore which erases everything and then installs fresh system. Then Restore your backup, which will put everything back in place, although you'll have to redownload content in Newsroom apps.
This timely procedure appears to have fixed all my freezes and speeded up the iPad. It also appears to have freed up a few GB of space.
I'm guessing that updating the SW to iOS 7 did not completely delete all the old system.
I have had my iPad, both of my daughters iPads and three of our family iPhones that have been upgraded to 7.0.3 that are all locking up. At least twice a day my iPad will lock up and I have to try and find a way or just wait for it to unlock and restart (with the Apple startup iCon greeting me). Apple has a real problem with this version, especially since I have 6 devices in my family that all act like this.....
My ipad 3 freezes constantly after upgrading to iOS 7. If you have an older ipad this release should be avoided as long as possible...don't accept it until Apple makes it compatible with older iPads
I experience these same problems. I've tried multiple actions including deleting all my running apps or apps that are performing background downloads, but nothing seems to work. I have thought this was a memory issue, but as i've tracked my memory use right before the lockup, it appears plenty of memory exists...
no idea what's happening or why, but clearly there's still an exposure...even with iOS 7.0.03
