YES!! this worked!! Now, whay did they download to my iPhone anyway, and why did i have to "download" them when to my iMac they were in my music library anyway? (they are my kids music)!
Thank you, Dallas Fan6. Worked for me! Not going crazy anymore!
I am trying to delete songs or emails swiping from right to left but the delete botton is now showing. Have anyone experience the same problem?
This whole thread is about your problem. Read through it and you will find the answer.
Songs loaded via iTune can be deleted by swiping right to left.
Your reply I believe is the key to this whole thing and should be reiterated. In iOS 7 you swipe on the song name from RIGHT to left to delete.
I was able to find the solution, yes the right to left swipe I was doing it wrong but also I was not able to delete iCloud songs. I did the following to make the go away.
I went to Settings > iTunes & App Store > Sign out of my Apple ID. then the iCloud songs disappear. 😀
I also turned off the iTunes match in Settings > Music > iTunes match
Thanks for your help!
omg! yes! thanks for the info! it worked!
Man I just gotta say this is terrible. The UI is beyond awful, the lack of flexibility is awful. I know Apple thinks it's a feature not a bug to have everything show up, but it's really bad. You should be able to delete things from icloud permanently, or at the least be able to pick some and not others to show up on your phone without having to download. For people with large collections, this is just a nightmare.
Still can't delete albums or artists in this manner like you used to be able to
Maybe if they'd launched a 128GB phone I wouldn't have to
The "Show All Music" off switch only worked on part of the songs for me. I saw on another thread from d.a.v.e that you can go to Settings>General>Usage>wait for Storage to load>click on Music>then swipe to delete ALL music. Then what you'll do in iTunes is go to your Library, and select all the songs you want on your phone and Sync. This worked for me. Not sure why Apple takes off the swipe delete feature!! SOOOOO annoying Apple, really!!
Solved my problem! Thanks! 😀
Swipe to delete still works on songs loaded via itunes but you have to swipe Right to Left.
For songs downloaded it works if they are on your device but they will still show up with a cloud symbol next to them to let you know they are stiil available on the cloud. To "hide" these you need to turn of Show All music. It appears they cannot be deletd from the cloud , only hidden.
Just go to settings
click on 'iTunes & App Store'
Under the heading 'Show All' : unsellect 'Music' & 'Video'
Any songs that have actually played will still be showing on your playlist even though they are not actually on your phone. So...
Go to settings
Click on 'iTunes & App Store'
Click on your Apple ID showing at the top of your screen
Sellect 'Sign Out'
Wait a few minutes and then sign back in
Boom
Problem solved

OK there's no way to place a reply directly under the replied-to post. This is a reply to "changpc" on first page of this discussion. Thank you! This finally allowed me to get rid of one song that was stuck to my Iphone after its first post-IOS7 sync with Itunes. The stuck song wasn't anywhere to be found in the Itunes library, it was just on the phone and I had never purchased it. Changpc's 5 steps did the trick -- although step 2 did cost me 99 hard-earned cents.
In answer to your question I believe that right-clicking on the song and then clicking on "Get info" puts you on a screen where you can change the tags.
