I realize that is the policy. I am commenting that it is a terrible policy when Apple has basically rendered the phone useless to many people and there's a way to address it.

Have you asked for permission to point people to the fix considering how badly it is affecting users?

Posts directing people to jailbreaking sites are deleted. Please, give it up.

I am red / green color blind and I am finding it difficult to respond to certain prompts - for example when I receive a call there is a yellow or green panel ( can't tell which) with some text in it that I cannot read - I have been swiping indescriminately to answer the phone and perhaps will figure it out eventually, but iOS7 is not friendly to color blind people.

Send Apple feedback and let them know

You're not the only color blind person I've seen with issues, but posting on the forum doesn't really 'count' in that apple doesn't monitor these forums. But feedback is logged and counted. And having some sort of accessibility for folks with visual impairments is something they should know about.

Your 'rights' in public are one thing.

This website and board are PRIVATE PROPERTY, .... you are prohibited from posting information regarding hacking, jailbreaking and likewise.

The T.O.U. for this board are clear,... if you cannot follow same or control the impulse to post prohibited materials, they will be removed with escalating notifications on same.

Peace. 😊

IOS 7.0.2 is not a general upgrade though it may also do that. APPLE isn't going to tell you, but it's a total upgrade of the firmware and leave you with an unimpressive, dull, childlike, imature, graphic user interface that's not worth of the APPLE name: a name built on GRAPHIC excellance.

For no reason other the the interface I'm sorry I allowed myself to be conned by APPLE into thinking the IOS upgrade was a quality step forward. Cheap is cheap and this new interface reeks of cheapness.

Here is the clincher - once you download IOS 7.0.2 you're stuck; there is no going back should you hate it as I do. Apparently APPLE thinks they need to follow the path of Microsoft and build cheapness into their graphic user interface and conserve firmware space.

YES I hate it and am sorry APPLE failed to provide full disclosure and let me and the public know the totality of their "UPDATE" Don't repeat my mistake and download it.

I'm trying to find a link that will allow me to restore IOS 7.0 and let Apple keep this attempt to go Microsoft. Anyone who knows how to go about restoring IOS 7.0.2 back to IOS 7.0 PLEASE post the instructions.

I hope APPLE refrains from updating Mountain Lion using IOS 7.0.2 as a pattern.

Apple should have at least given us a choice by fully disclosing the totality of the change and not just casully telling us it's a technical patch to fix some buggs in an UPDATE AVAILABLE NOTICE. This isn't a 7.0.2 release it's an IOS 8.0 change - Man am I sorry I let them con me into to IOS 7.0.2

If you hate it as much as I do let Apple know - perhaps they will pay attention unlike Microsoft who lost my business long time ago. A company who'se reputation is built on graphics shouldn't now divorce themselves of that haritage.

I notice there is no clear answer as to how to get rid of IOS7.0.2 for a previous version ie 7.0.1 or even 7.0. Here is another bullet to bite on - remember the original notice of an update? There was not mention of a wholsesale change to the Human/Graphic Interface, just a notice of a need to technically repair a vulnerability. I'm sure had Apple been forthright and said this was a wholesale upgrade of the IOS many of us whould have investigated to see what it entailed and then made an INFORMED decision. Nice of Apple to remove that option and to compound the issue by denying those of us who hate or dislike these changes the right to revert to something more in line with our sensibilities. I guess the competition TV commercials are right.

While I would hate to abandon Apple and the iPOD and iPhone world has anyone found a way to restore the current IOS to a previous version?

Does anyone know where to register a complaint with APPLE so corporate knows how sickend we are with this IOS release?

A clear answer has been given repeatedly: You cannot.

iOS 7.0.2 did not introduce any major changes in the user interface. It fixed some security issues.

None of that is entirely true Meg,

Yes there are options to get back to iOS6 but as Apple's new slogan is "get used to it" and you guys are all marching in step to that. No, you can't find them here on this sight But, there's been enough interest that a simple search on any of the three major search engines will get you links to unauthorized apple downgrades on the first few pages of their search results. Currently Microsoft's Bing has the most hits. (go figure)

If you want to stick with apple's "authorized" copy's of iOS6 do what I did take you phone back to your carrier and demand an exchange. Don't go to a genius bar they have already downgraded all of their stock to iOS7 and flatly put they won't help you anymore then this sight will.

Also pay attention the major news casts both liberal and conservative sights Fox News and NBC have already done stories on the war over iOS7 and posting on those stories may be a better avenue for you to vent then here.

Lastly and especially if you just showed up here, go to http://www.apple.com/feedback and post a complaint. Apple's not sharing these posts and it's hard to say if there even reading them, also you won't get the satisfaction of trashing on multi-dotted apple supporters like Meg here, who have there backs in a corner and can offer you nothing more then apple's new slogan, but at least you can say told them.
