Downgrading is not supported by APple. And if a person does what is suggested in that blog, they will void their warranty and not get any support from Apple or this forum.
So.... if you are saying people can't jailbreak their phones and iOS7 is still making them sick after making adjustments available to them in the accessibility section, what is your suggestion for what they should do?
Really.... this is unprecedented in tech. A company made a changes to a perfectly working device that has made it uselss to many people. What is their recourse?

It is perfectly legal to jailbreak your iPhone in the U.S. It is not, however, permitted to discuss it on these forum.s
Best of luck.
If it is the only way for people to make their phone useful again, why would it not be on these forums?
The Terms of Use to which you agreed when you signed up prohibit discussions of jailbreaking or hacking. Posts about such will be deleted. There are plenty of other forums on the Internet on which you can discuss Apple products.
I get that.
I'm asking why Apple is blocking the discussion when it is the only way to fix this problem?
Shouldn't they being tried to help their customers in anyway possible right now?
I mean...these phones are EXPENSIVE, especially when you include the cost of all the apps, and APPLE made the change that rendered it virtually useless.
I've come to Apple for help. They've given me nothing except to tell me that the one way I can see to fix it right now can't be discussed.
Apple does not endorse or warranty hacking of their devices. Therefore, we can not discuss it here. There is nothing more to say on the matter.
Actually, there is one more thing to say on the matter.
There is a way to fix the problem, but Apple won't share it with its customers.
That's just BRUTAL.
Just to be clear, you did not come to Apple for help. You came to a discussion forum provided by Apple for users like you and me who try to help each other. Any help you get here would be from another user/customer.
If you wish to go to Apple for help, submit a feedback or book an appointment at an Apple store.
I did. Of course they didn't point me to the only way to fix it.
And if its Apple users that are doing this, it is even worse. Why wouldn't you point people to a fix to their problem if you know it is out there?
That is just terrible.
Its Voldemort all over again.
I saw stuff like this years ago on the Microsoft boards about Linux. This is worse though because this is an Apple created issue that basically could be fixed

Which part of "We're not allowed to discuss this" was unclear?
I realize that is the policy. I am commenting that it is a terrible policy when Apple has basically rendered the phone useless to many people and there's a way to address it.

I do not see a problem to fix.
I have no problem with IOS7. Well, thats not true. The first time I saw it after the update, I found the screen too bright, especially when they used the white background for calendar, contacts and other apps. So I turned the brightness down a bit and it was good.
I like the change to a white background on the apps because the apps on computers have been like that for 20 years. There is a reason computer apps use a white background. It is because it is easier to read and causes less eye strain. Too bright or not bright enough causes eye strain so the user should always adjust the brightness to the their eyes and current ambient light.
"I do not see a problem to fix."
Consider yourself lucky. For us that do, the phone is useless.
I've used a smarthphone since the first Blackberry in 2000 and have never had this problem.
And we've turned the brightness down to its lowest valeus and changed the font... but it does not the fix the problem. There's not enough control within settings to adjust things enough.
And BTW... it is not the color of the background that usually causes eye strain. It is the difference between the text and the background that causes the strain. Brightness is one of several factors to consider.
So bobwile... for all the people on this board who have turned down the brightness and still have headaches and nausea, what do you suggest they do?
