After ios 7 update on ipad mini, auto rotation stop working. Anyone facing this issue too?

yup we have the same problem... but we fixed it by normally turning off the device, let it rest for a minute and tun it on again..

to normally turn off the device; press the power button and slide on the screen "slide to switch off".

hope this will solve the problem...

I have the same problem with the new ipad. I really do hope apple fixes the problem, it's quite annoying.

I had success with rebooting. BUT, If rebooting is the "fix" for rotation locking THAT IS A BUG! There is also a General Setting that implies the side switch for muting also locks rotation, but it is a toggle switch and doesn't always work.

Ok i have an idea... Try holding down the power button and the home button at the same time until the screen goes black, then the apple logo should pop up and basically what that did was restart the device but it also goes through and fixes many problems that might have occurred. This wont just work for the screen not rotating but also other issues. Hope it works!

I tried everything suggested here, then reset all my settings back to original. Forced power off & restarted my iPad & it worked.

I had this same issue-- rotation would go different directions for different apps regardless of the orientation of the ipad. I powered off, the started back up and problem was gone. Reboot!

Still doesn't work. At least the problem only occurs with the Remote app.

On iPad, I found that the view wouldn't rotate with apps open and running. Closed all open apps and rotation was restored. It seems that if I change rotation with an app running, that prevents any other rotation as long as the app is open.

I'm facing the same issue after updating my iPad 3 to iOS 7. It needs to restart the device whenever auto rotation stops which is so much annoying. There was no such issue with iOS 6. Apple Support kindly look into the issue.

i have this same issue after I've upgraded my ipad mini to ios 7 and even in ios 7.0.2 my ipad stops rotating...PLEASE APPLE FIX THIS RIGHT AWAY!!!

I had the same problem - screen wouldn't rotate after latest IOS upgrade. To fix the problem you have to turn your iPad Mini completely off and reboot / restart it. This will clear the problem.

I'm having the same trouble. The solutions mentioned here often work but only temporarily. After a while lock problem comes back. It's a real bug and needs fixing.
