Hi, I installed on my iphone IOS 7 but now wifi doesn't work. It doesn't find any wifi connections around me. Please help me! What can I do?
IOS 7 just like IOS 6 is WIFI proof....LOL!!!!
I am having the same issue. My wifi worked for about a week after I did the update and now nothing. Mine is grayed out like most of the others and I did the whole airplane mode and reset and nothing. The other thing I noticed is my phone will be at 50 percent battery life and then all of suddent it would just turn off and be dead with no warning. I am really disappointed and not sure what to do regarding this! I did the new 7.0.2 update or whatever to "fix bugs" but it didnt fix any of the problems that I am seeing people are having.
"The new operating system seems to have an issue with apostrophes. At least when it comes to wi-fi."
My phone did have an apostrope in the name as I believe this is the DEFAULT for naming the phone (ie you enter your name and then it suggests '<your name>'s phone' for the phone name.
Regardless I renamed the phone and did a power down, hard reboot (hold both buttons), and reset network setting - no success. Time for apple to fix their buggy code.
Already did that ... it was mentioned in previous posts and did not help mine unfortunately.
You can't ... I tried and even called Apple about that very thing ... extremely frustrating.
I have done this - 3 times - to no avail just wasted a a working day!
Not for me it hasn't!
Yes, I too have loved Apple - I have 3 iphones here in the hosue for 3 members of the family. I was due a contract upgrade last week so got a Samsung GS4! But, I would still like to sort out the wi-fi on the IPhone because it is a very expensive item if its only use is as a camera and calculator!
I declare, that of the last 3 ios upgrades with 3 phones, I have had 7 serious problems - Never more Apple for me, unless they take responsibility and sort it out. It cannot be the hardware when so many people have the same problem and were fine on ios6. If that seriously is the case, then fix it so that we can go back and use these very expensive pieces of kit. My business is siffering badly from this.
My problem seems a little different from the other problems. I can only connect to my home WIFI if I'm within a few feet of the router. Then, though it appears to be connected, it does not act like it. Everything takes a long time to load, some a very long time, like Pandora and Youtube, as if I were connected via a cellular network. If I move too far away it is no longer connected at all. Resetting and turning on/off has not helped.
Just tried your suggestion, and so far 24hrs later and its actually working fine, no issues at all. I recomend ppl try this if they havent already.
i noticed during the beta versions pf ios7, siri would always say things like "calling your brother's iphone." Since the official versions, i notice siri responds "calling your brother - iphone." You may be on to something with the apostrophe thing, though it seems kinds strange it could throw so much off.
Has anyone tried this?

That's different than the wi-fi being greyed out. Totally separate issues.
Same problem, Iphone 4S, IOS 7.02, wifi not working............ GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, 22 PAGES of complaints. Think this might just prove that it IS an ios7 bug and not damaged hardware. FIX it please Apple!
Iphone 4S, IOS 7.02, wifi not working also swipe problem too!!!!😠
