I only just upgraded to IOs7 yesterday and experienced the same imessage/facetime issues everyone's describing above. i didn't wait th 24 hours apple suggest to fix it becuase it was hapening all day. i tried many suggestions given here to no avail. finally did the following

1. connected iphone to ITUNES and selected THIS COMPUTER in Backups for full backup

2. navigate to Settings > General > Reset and select "Erase all content and settings"

3. let the computer do its thing, takes a few minutes.

4. once the iphone resets, it will take you through steps to set up ie: language, country etc., once you arrive at setup, I chose RESTORE FROM ITUNES.

Problem Fixed. i hope this helps someone out. you guys sure helped me out.

I have tried most of the suggestions listed : resetting time and timezone, resetting the network, setting the DNS to 8.8.8.8 ... none of these have worked.

Very frustrating. I've had the iphone for years, and used FaceTime regularly via wifi (my cell phone reception is limited). Now I can't : "FaceTime Activation ... Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again" every time.

I have not been able to sign in to FaceTime since the iOS7 update, in spite of numerous attempts (on several different networks).

I can sign in and use FaceTime on my Mac, so the account is not the issue. And the iphone's network connection works fine for browsers etc. I don't understand why this login is so fragile.

I hope that a system update fixes this bug soon.
