Pioneer car stereo and iOS 7?

Well once again I products have limited everyone. All the new style iphones and ipods that have the smaller adapter are unable to send information properly to these stereos due to the fact the transfer setup in the plug is different. The original pkug had numerous pins that were able to transmit data to the stereos properly. As with the pioneer style units you were able to plug in via the pioneer controller cable for ipods and iphones and even play movies on your in dash tvs, not anymore... i am told that being that movies on the new devices have gone digital and stored somewhere the pioneer cannot find them. Apple has done so much to destroy music and video it is not even funny. My advice... get rid of any and all i products. my preference used to be apple, unyil i realized how restricted i was. Always a way around it though 🙂 good luck if you stay apple... btw... dont try all this rooting your phone business or any jailbreak attempts, it does not work!!!!

Sometimes Apple says it is due to the car system since the car system manufacturer did not exactly follow Apple's implementation instructions

Well, when our stereos connected under iOS 6 but not now.....

lllaas suggestion worked for me.

Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at

least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Restart did not fix my problem, unfortunately.

I have a kenwood stereo and with my iphone 5 running ios7 I have the same issue, is there a way to fix this?

I have no issues continuing play with spotify, just music

Has anyone updated to 7.0.3? I did last night, and today USB playback was fine. Not sure yet if the fix/change is permanent or not, but *something* happened.

Has this been fixed for anyone yet? Mine has been working fine until today and then it gave me the "device error" when I connected via USB.

Since updating to 7.0.6 I haven't had any problems with my iPhone 5, but as always it's hard to say if there's a correlation or not.

We'll see what happens with 7.1.
