iOS 7 issues

So as expected with any new OS for... Anything really, there are a few bugs (like saying I have 10 flagged emails by the folder contains none)

But what I have an issue with are recent changes that regress from the progress of the old iOS and would like to make it known so Apple will hopefully fix them.

1) Arbitrary sorting of playlists. All of a sudden my playlists are in non-alphabetical order because of genius and smart playlists. Why? It's unintuitive! And there are no options to change it.

2) Can't view a whole photo! If I download an image from the internet, as like old iOS, the photo viewer doesn't show the whole thing in favor of filling the screen. However now, you can't pinch to zoom out without closing the image back into a thumbnail, thus making it possible to view an entire image

3) Where's my search bar? You used to be able to search your music from anywhere in the music app by scrolling to the top, but now your restricted to searching from specific areas of the app.

4) Where's my list view for calendar events? I want my multiple schedule views back, I want to see all the events I have that day in a simple list that tells me when they start instead of having to scroll and interpret the beginnings and ending times for each overlapping event

So these are the complaints I have, and I really hope they get resolved because they're all things the iOS used to be able to do. If you have any information as to their plans to remedy any or other issues please let me know, or better yet, let the company know so they can do something about it.

As for the 'search bar' in the music app, you might want to drag the screen down in the music app and you'll see it. Regarding 'List view' in calendar, you might also want to hit the 'search icon' and you'll see a list of all of your events within the days in a nice new view... 🙂

Best,

Regarding your phone showing that you have 10 flagged emails but the folder contains none, please see: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5328178?answerId=23086665022#23086665022

Go to to your Inbox,

Edit

Flag all

Then Unflag all

Click on All Inboxes...

then Edit...

then Mark all (bottom left corner)

then on the menu that comes up select "Flag"

(all your messages are now flagged)

then repeat this but select Unflag when you click on Mark all.

I had the same issue and this solved it for me.

If all the 200 million users that downloaded iOS7 in the first week voiced their discontent with iOS7 then "maybe" Apple will listen. Feedback about iOS7 can be sent to the iPhone team at Apple via: http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html

The new IOS 7 is horrible. It looks like something grade schoolers designed. The colors are too bright. It is very distracting when you have to squint looking at different apps due to the harshness. For example the bright white background on everything, Calendar, Notes, Contacts, etc.

My husbands phone has randomly started sending text messages to his phone as well as the rceiptnet when he hits send. For example he sends me a text, it comes to my phone and his, as a new message. This is just since the upgrade.

The calendar is not user friendly. We live by the calendar and use it extensivelly. We had everything color coordinated for everyone in family on one calendar. Now in month view all the dots are grey. Have to pull up each individual day too see who it is for. In past could quickly glance at month view and know by colored dots. Have to go to search mode in calendar too see exact times of events. Before could quickly glance at start time in month view. This is a horrible design for a busy family.

In contacts the alphabet on left side is so small now you guess at what letter of alphabet you are going to. In past I could push the letter I needed and get to those contacts.

Not being able to close open apps anymore is draining my battery life drastically. In past you could close any open apps and it helped save the battery life.

If there is not some changes soon we will be finding a different calendar app, along with new phones. There is no point in keeping something that is so horrible to use.

IOS 7 notes app is crap.

It was far far better in IOS 6 where you had proper notes with lines and now is just blank paper..

Waking up the phone is now take more time as its animated to appear slowly...it was soo fast in IOS 6 in this busy life when u wake up and want to see time but now u have to wait coupel fo secs...which definitely makes difference.

and this zoom in/ out animations are affecting eyes now.

Why Apple why you did all this ?

While iOS 7 is a big change and many people are unsatisfied, please understand that the devices have been enhanced with additional security, and simplicity.

For those that wish to go back to iOS 6, before you do, as you can do it. It is not easy to do, and it does void the warranty on your phone. You will also notice apps fail to function correctly. Also, you will want to Google search iPhone data leaks. iOS 6 had issues with email getting stuck, amongst other issues and many people got hit with massive data overages.

After reading that, if you are still interested in going back, Google search iPhone DFU mode.

Once again, I personally like the iOS 7 enhancements. The look, yes, could use a few improvements. Nothing is perfect. I advise against using older iOS, as I troubleshoot these devices, daily.

Is anybody else having issues with bluetooth devices? I have bluetooth on my car stereo and for my motorcycle helmet, and since the move to iOS 7, I can no longer control fast forward, rewind, and pause with these device

It really makes me angry that I've sunk a lot of money into devices that I could use my iPhone with, and Apple apparently doesn't take device functionality into consideration.
