Vibrate not working at all with iOS7

I updated to iOS7 the day it came out and thought all was going fine but only now, I'm realizing that the vibrate feature hasn't worked once since.

Prevoiusly, I just thought that it doesn't vibrate when my phone is plugged in (when I'd receive text messages) but it just dawned on me that it hasn't vibrated at all since. When I switch from Normal mode to Silent mode, no vibration. When I go to settings and try out the different Vibrate modes, I feel nothing. My phone doesn't vibrate when I plug it into my laptop as well. I'm wondering something happened between when I upgraded to iOS7?

Is there any way to troubleshoot this problem?

I just reset my iPhone today (all content and settings) and restored it to a recent backup but still the same issue.

Do you think I should just take it to an Apple Specialist at the Apple Store?

p.s. the iPhone is less than a year old

Yes, you got lucky. I'm glad for you. You know what I've been thinking, that the Vibrate that went out on my phone is connected to my ringtones. Maybe that's why I do not get a loud ringtone anymore. I am going to have the motor fixed and if this works I will let everyone know that it was an Apple software and it's too bad they won't look into this and fix it. Or better yet, pay me for having all these parts put in since then.

Yes, I have tried everything and nothing works. I have reset, cold boot, warm boot, turning off and on all settings concerning sounds, alerts, privacy anything you can name I've done it. What I have yet to do is look into the vibration motor and see if that is gone out. But, I must say, that when the update took place my home button was acting wierd. When I slightly passed my finger over it, I heard a light static sound. Thought that since Apple was putting in it's software a fingerprint on the home button, that noice I hard was part of it. Then my phone didn't ring loud or vibrate anymore. So I thought best let me do the upgrade. Well it still was the same and since then I have been trying to figure it out. So maybe the part in the programing that has to do with the thumb print has changed something? Some one suggested that it is their firmware. Well if it's Apple's, they should look into this. Lots of people out there have this issue! Come on Apple, look for a solution.

Adding to my post.

Went to have my phone ckecked out on the vibrate. Techs said I have a problem with my logic board. in other words, the mother board. I can't believe Apple would make a phone that breaks in less than two years? But then, I have read on this forum of NEW phones going bad. Well. If anyone has this same problem I hope you are alomost out of contract so you can get another phone. I will be in two months but, will not get an Apple. 😐

Same problem. Incoming ring or vibration doesn't occur. I have mised every call/text for over a week on my new iPhone. But I do get sound when I send a text, or a vibration when I plug in the phone. I've reset every vibrate and ringtone setting, rebooted, reset, and toggled the ring on/off as recommended.

Last ditch effort- I took the case off, and hit the back of the phone over and over. IT WORKED. I just recieved my first alert of a text!

Really? This is the fix?

hi there i want to add here that i lost my iphone 4 vibrations (all sort of) while every setting is ON and checked but with no luck . i want to also mention that it was working fine since months after upgrade to IOS7 but two days ago lost all vibrations. i read this post and tried a slap technque and it worked like a charm

at first soft slap --- not worked than a little harder on apple logo -- not worked than i slap on the side where the slient and volume button are... hurry it worked i think the vibrator motor was stucked somehow and a little slap made it work again..

Thanks
