Vibrate not working at all with iOS7

I updated to iOS7 the day it came out and thought all was going fine but only now, I'm realizing that the vibrate feature hasn't worked once since.

Prevoiusly, I just thought that it doesn't vibrate when my phone is plugged in (when I'd receive text messages) but it just dawned on me that it hasn't vibrated at all since. When I switch from Normal mode to Silent mode, no vibration. When I go to settings and try out the different Vibrate modes, I feel nothing. My phone doesn't vibrate when I plug it into my laptop as well. I'm wondering something happened between when I upgraded to iOS7?

Is there any way to troubleshoot this problem?

I just reset my iPhone today (all content and settings) and restored it to a recent backup but still the same issue.

Do you think I should just take it to an Apple Specialist at the Apple Store?

I had this issue recently and managed to fix it just now. Have you used the Do Not Disturb function at all?

I used the do not disturb function the other day, and since then, my phone wouldn't vibrate, even when do not disturb was switched off. So I went into by settings > Do not disturb, then I turned off manual and scheduled. After this I had to go into sound settings and turn on vibrate in silent mode, and then it started vibrating again.

yep, same problem,

i read through all of the comments and possible fixes, tried them over and over and made sure for the 100th time that all my setting were correct, they are, so i came down to hitting it, i rang myself started tapping then hitting the phone on its side on the desk and sure enough it came to life, no wonder apple arnt putting this problem out there,

how are they going to word that fix??

Make sure your sound button is down so you see the orange, go into settings-sounds make sure to turn on vibrate on silent and vibrate on ring, where is says "sounds and vibration patterns" go into text tone, at the top its says vibration make sure you pick one of those and it should work

I discovered recently that the vibration on my iPhone 5c hadn't been working for some time. I missed an emergency phone call at work the week before last, 😕

and deduced that it was because my phone didn't vibrate when the caller called 4 consecutive times but didn't leave a message. Looked online and found this issue all over this Apple Support forum. Took my phone to Apple store., they did a firmware thingy, then tried to replace/fix vibration motor, both to no avail. Ultimately, they REPLACED MY IPHONE 5c FOR FREE! No explanation of what caused the problemo, but I've a hunch that it is an IOS 7 issue. Kinda makes you never want to upgrade, no?

So, don't get mad, get glad, and pay the Apple store a visit. 🙂
