iPhone 5s Power Button Loose/Rattling Noise

isn't a major worry for liquid stuck at that part ????? and what product have u used ??? the same as MAiK ??? I looked it up here it's 23 euros ...........

I used the same one as Maik, of course there will be some leftovers coming out of the crack around the power button when you use it afterwards but that's only verly little until everything has settled just whipe it away and your'e good. Since its a non conductive spray there are no worries.

so , you think by time it will go completely the leftover ??? or it stays forever , and do u realise if it is stuck there it's farewell to an exchange if a new good patch comes out ...

You can just whipe it away! There will be no visible trace afterwards! As i said, it only takes some time until it settles, then you are okay. It doesn't "dry" on the aluminium or something. I'm just returning mine because I've discovered that 16GB isn't enough for me but if the 32GB one rattles too, i will use the spray again.

I just bought the official iPhone 5S Case today cause I thought using it would stop the rattle but helas evn case on it still rattles and videos are the same with the same annoying noice inside ....... So dunno what to do exchange again ????? 95 % chance that I will get another rattling one and maybe with other problems (loud clicking home button , scratched screen , heating device...... based on my previous exchanges) or just apply the spray once and for good ..................... can't decide .............

I tried the official apple case on my 5S around a month ago and it eliminated the rattle noise. If your 5S rattles that loud then i would suggest taking it back for return.

Despite the good intentions of other users on this forum to help with this issue, I would never spray a foreign substance on my iPhone. I wouldn't recommend it. That would be altering the product, and if apple does fix this in the future, it could void the warranty. Perform any of these Do It Yourself fixes at your own risk.

I'd recommend to wait for an official fix. If all replacements have had the same loose button as the one you have, then try to live with it for now.

contamination with liquids is indeed a reason to reject warranty claims...

You need a bumper case it stops it .

Does the silicone lub spray eventually dry ?

If so I wonder if the rattle is stopped due to the damping effect caused when it's in a liquid state and the rattle will reappear when it dries.

That's exactly what I was thinking , and that made me hesitate before proceeding such a solution not to void the warranty or harm the Phone just to solve the problem for few days/weeks .

we bought in the work 6 x 5s over the online store, all 6 pieces rattles

I think it is a mass product error

My phone has the same anoying rattling noise. It surprised me since it is not my first iPhone and Apple had never disappointed me like this before. I hope the come up with a general fix for everyone because if they don't they risk loosing a lot of Apple customers.

what spray are you talking about can you let me know as i am willing to buy it if iti is good and sloves the problem.

Anybody get a replacement yet with no rattle or at least less of a rattle?

I am in the same boat with you guys... I got my iPhone 5s 32gb black like about a week ago. Then I started hearing this rattling on the power button and it feels cheap and lose, so I'm going to try to get to the bottom of this. iPhones are way to expansive and made with good quality to be having these small problems. Wish me luck.
