You should know this:

It is not a big secret, that APPLE is bribing on a large scale, to get as mutch positive reviews and feedbacks as possible, from major blogs and large tech review magazines, by either paying money or leaving their products at the testers...

If you can make that much money out of your relatively cheaply produced products, you have the power to bribe every little blog, and overrun every negative feeback with thousands of positive feedback in the network...

Never wondered why every review quotes exacty the same things just with different words, like a robot...?!?

However, I just wonder if and when people will recognize, that they are cheated on such a large scale...

Do yourself a favour and look twice, if the quality you get is the quality you expect and paid for...

Well this is my first Apple product. I could never afford it.i am satisfied with the experience so far but the rattling noise is killing me. I want to migrate over from microsoft but the quality of the product isn't what I expected.

After I lost my first iPhone 5s to dead pixels, the second one turned out to have an unusually loose power button. It felt weird to the touch, but the worst was the rattling noise which also manged to find its way into every video and voice memo recorded. This was a gold iPhone 5s (16GB) manufactured in November. It's surprising how Apple still hasn't managed to resolve such an evident manufacturing defect.

I didn't even bother approaching Apple after my experience last year with some horribly scuffed iPhone 5 replacements. The only option I had was to resell it. It's not a cheap affair as it costs nearly $1,000 to buy a 5s in India!

I've checked other 5s phones that were rattle-free and fitted with a firm power button, which means our rattling phones are definitely not "normal".

At the end of the day, it hurts when a company that projects itself as the epitome of perfection and quality (alas, Jony Ive!) lets you down with such minor flaws. It's these little things which interefer with daily life. Cheers Apple, you've lost one more loyal customer in India!

I'm thinking about selling mine. Went to an Apple retail store and the employee said that his rattled too and it didn't bother him. Really? He must not be recording much video. It's terribly audible. What a manufacturing fiasco on Apple's part. It seems Apple is doing nothing to rectify their mistake. It will soon get out of hand and they'll be forced to act. I hope. The quality of Apple products is now circling the drain. What a shame.

me and my wife bought a space gray iPhone5s for myself and a Golden 5s for her, 64gigs both... On the same day I realized that my power button was a bit loose, even so I double checked with my used iPhone5. I found the same problem on my wife's Golden 5s.. But guess what, 9 days after we got it, which was yesterday, my wife's iP5S power button just collapsed ! It is impossible to use with a case and very hard to make it work without a iP5s case...

On top of it, We are in Brazil, iPhone5s got released here by apple a month ago, but since there is no apple store here we bought ours at the Mobile service store... We will go there tomorrow to try to solve the problem...

Its sad to see a company deteriorating like apple is doing.. I bough my iPhone5 in US, when I got home and installed my chip I found out the phone was broken, did not read the SIM Card.. At the time apple replaced it with no hustle, but it was a frustrating experience, and now this...

Hello everybody, so I've had iPhone 5 that had loose charging dock (sleep and volume buttons were firm, no rattle) went for replacement in Covent Garden (London), after a day I've noticed famous rattle around top of the iPhone, after a week it gotten worst !!! Yesterday I've upgraded to brand new iPhone 5s and believe me it's even worst, now I have loose volume and power buttons along with loud home button click. I've got appointment with Genius Bar today at Brent Cross Mall, I will bring both devices with me and I will post later what actions were taken upon that unit. I'm also in contact with apple care department although I don't have apple care plan. They are very helpful, don't hesitate calling them. Wish me luck :)

That is it apple, I'm done with you. Just came back from apple store and genius said "dude they all rattle like that it's normal" !! Dude.......

Dudes, i have swapped my 5S once. and both MADE the same noise. I found a little solution, its a bit different but believe me it works. This rattling issue can be compensated by taking your phone, pressing it on your lips, and blowing very hard and long into the button (Works for sleepbutton as well as for volumebuttons). I am not lying, and this is not a bad joke. Just try it, and you will see. My buttons are rock-solid now.

I have had the iPhone 5s about 30 days. Just in the last day or so, the on button started rattling. I thought I did something wrong. I took it to the Apple store but the guy said it was normal. Well first off, if is super loud there so it's hard to get a feel for the rattling noise. I tried an iPhone on display, it had a rattling noise too but very muted and not as pronouced as my phone. I'm on the chat with apple support right now.

The noise sounds like something is loose and that freaked me out, I thought had broken it. Then right before I walked into the store I put my finger on the on button and the noise stopped.

I just made a video and listened to it. WOW. All I hear is the clicking loose noise.

The apple chat guy has me scheduled for an appointment to fix the problem.

I am currently suffering from the same problem, i went to the apple store today, and they replaced me with an iphone 5s, but I had to argue with the "genius" people, first I said, i bought a $1000 phone and this is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable, and consumer rights tell us that this is NOT of satisfactory quality, tell them that, if they say its too minor and would not replace it, ask them this, "when you take a video, the rattling noise is recorded, talking to somebody on the phone, the one you are speaking to can here your phone rattling, is the phone of satisfactory quality?", and if this fails (highly unlikely) ask them, the iphone 5s' you have on display, they do not have this issue, why am i receiving this defective phone? they must replace you the phone or else they are in breach of consumer rights (Sale of goods).

Also remember, consumers are always ALWAYS right, and consumer rights are by far superior than "Apple Policy", let alone business rights. So dont be afraid to use the law, because law takes precedence over everything.

I have the same problem but I live in Croatia and we don't have Apple Store. I sent NEW (5 days old) iPhone 5s to be serviced and it has been returned broken as it is. I can't record video normally.Buttons are loose.Both volume and power buttons... So i don't know what to do next... I am without phone for 3 weeks now and nobody is responding. I had 4 and 4s and never had problems but this... In Croatia price is over 1000$ and now I don't have any rights...

If anyone can help please do...

Send it back and tell them that right side of screen is less resposive than left side, tell them that battery overheats,

Tell them that you have new wifi spots at work with new security and your iPhone doesn't pick those spots, but your old iPhone does, you just need multiple problems, tell them that is reboots itself every day or two for no reason, just search internet, there is a manual released for apple technicians that you can find on google, but I wouldn't be surprised if you would get different unit with same problems as most people here :(

Wow you're right! I tried your solution and it really helped! I have no idea how blowing into the buttons makes them solid but anyway it actually worked. You guys should try it either.
