ios 7 proximity sensor not working

Same for my Verizon iPhone 4.

Sorry, but. this is a sca m apple?, you want a Corporate body suit?. Thousands of users reporting the problem and there is no official answer?. I am a systems engineer, I have 2 iphone 5 (in this case) with the same problem, even and get changed the sensor hardware (also change entire display! With Camera and sensor included, or sensor alone, in many ways since I have several phones in stock) and not solved. I expect an official response from apple. SEPTEMBER 13 TO MARCH 14 ???? IT IS A JOKE APPLE !!!!

I just dont know what to say... I now think they themselves are not capable of solving this issue. Maybe we should all pool in money and find a hacker/developer who can solve this mess.

iOS 7.1 does NOT fix this problem on my iPhone4

SOLVED --- I upgraded my buggy crappy IOS7 iPhone 5 to a stable HTC One - all working 100% now, and now I dont have to deal with iCloud any longer either!

This is the only answer !!! Apple don't care for there customers the only answer is buy another brand like htc or samsung

And use your iphone as a brick as it's intended to or a paper weight !!!

Apple have a lot to answer too there has been a few updates since this problem popped up and they still haven't addressed it ... Bravo apple for being such a customer focus company I won't be lining your pockets anymore

This is how I get my iPhone's proximity sensor to work. Dunno if it's gonna work for all of you but it worths a try.

1. Go to phone settings and turn off Siri.
2. Make a phone call, check if the sensor is working again, if not put on a restart.
3. Turn on Siri again if you need to use it.

no. No, Siri has nothing to do. The problem is that some sensors ios 7.xx. It is a hardware and firmware, not the user layer of ios. Apple pity the support they give, give others shame!!.

No the new software does not fix it for the iPhone 4. APPLE MANAGEMENT get it FIXED soon or I am going to SAMSUNG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am having the same issue for the past few months, and after ios 7.1 update, the issue has only aggravated. Apple, please solve this issue. Cannot believe that with all the brilliant people you employ, you have not been able to put out a solution or lower your ego and accept that there is an issue. Clearly your stores can not have people who can troubleshoot the software issue. You can, be the great company that you are, ask one of your engineers to visit anyone of the many people who are facing this issue.

Apple, start living up to expectations and owning up.

My next phone is surely not going to be an iphone.

Work on it as i have already changed my Iphone to Spare Phone bcoz of this problem, But want again to make iphone 5 as Main phone.
