ios 7 proximity sensor not working

Since upgrading to IOS 7 on my Iphone 4s there seems to be problems with the proximity sensor. Taking calls with handset no longer locks the screen and contact with face inadvertently presses keypad numbers resulting in dial tomes mid call. Never had this issue with IOS 6. Is there a setting I can change to rectify this or will I need to wait for next update of IO7 and the problem is sorted.

Add me to this (ridiculously long) list of unhappy customers. Ever since updating, my iphone is essentially useless as a PHONE. I can say with all honesty that every single call I've made or answered in the last two months has been converted to a facetime call in the middle of the conversation. First my call is muted, then it initiates facetime, then I turn off facetime, then I have to disable speakerphone. EVERY SINGLE CALL. Because the person on the other end can't hear me while all this is going down, they will often hang up.

How has Apple failed to address this? Can't wait for my contract to end so I can ditch this crappy phone forever.

Add me to the list. I have a 4s 64GB and did a hard reset after upgrading to iOS 7.1.1, then the sensor started working again for a few calls. I restored all of my settings via iTunes backup and it still worked. Then loaded all my music and videos leaving about 4GB free and it stopped working. Tried a hard reset multiple times and now sensor won't work again.

Yes, add me to the list. Since the IOS 7.1.1 update, the proximity sensor on my iPhone 5 stop working. I don't use any cases. I'm only using a screen protectors with design. My screen protector is not the issue because I had this protector on for almost a year. It worked fine until the update. Rebooting the phone didn't fix it. Someone suggested to reset all setting. Unfortunately it requires restriction passcode and I don't know it. It's also difficult to reset the restriction passcode. The only way is to restore as NEW. It will whipe out everything. I don't have a choice other than wait patiently for Apple to fix this. Frustration level 1000000.
