Waiting for items to copy stuck iOS 7

I turned off "Find My iPad" and it started working.

HeathAJ2, are you syncing an iPad and also an iPhone or just the iPad?

ipad 3, It traffered all the apps then started doing it again. 😟

I just found my icloud backup and turned it off. My sync automatically started copying. Crossing my fingers after spending 3.5 hours at the applestore and half my Sunday rebooting, resetting, and rocking in my chair like a crazy person. I have never been so frustrated with Apple in my life! Hoipe this works, thanks for the posts.

My iPhone 5 keeps getting stuck at the "Waiting for changes to be applied" stage. And now not all my music is synced to my iPhone. Ditto with my iPad 2.

All these syncing problems started after the update to iOS7.

I am disappointed that there's still no definitive solution to this problem and extremely disappointed that Apple has yet to fix this problem with its iOS 7 or even iTunes updates.

Yes, I got the exactly same problem, I use iPad Air runs iOS 7.0.4 with iTunes 11.1.3 on OS X Mavericks.

I Have an iphone 5 with IOS 7.04 and have tried all of the above suggestions but nothing works, its gets stuck on "Waiting for items to copy" or "cancelling sync. I am now giving up until I can get to Apple store after xmas.

I was checking out what's new in the ios 7.1 beta, and it seems apple has made fixes for the sync crashes and long waits, lets hope that fixes things.

Nothing worked for me until I tried this: Settings > General > Usage > Music. Deleted all music and synced with iTunes. Problem solved!

I restored from a backup and the problem has gone away. Not sure if it will return.

I think I have found out what's causing the problem on my phone (but not how to fix it!) after a reboot I was able to sync individual albums to the phone, until I got to one that had been downloaded from iTunes, and then it got stuck. So to me it looks like its something to do with the iCloud music sync but how to overcome this is beyond me.

5s and Mavericks I found that it will take one minute to sync if there are no changes and no music being synced. That is no music on the iPhone.

Clean instal of iOS and once you add 200 songs to sync to the iPhone, it transfers the songs quckly but hangs on Waiting for Items to Copy for almost 8 minutes. And that's only with 200 songs!

When I had 7,000 songs stored on this phone and no changes to sync, it took overnight and still would be on Waiting for Items to Copy.

Worst experience with iTunes / iPhone in 5 years.

I have this bug since ios 3 with the iTunes version at this time. Sloooooow sync exists for years not stuck, but with the time needed to sync one change in a playlist, I consider it as stuck.

Apple, Could you please do your job and fix sync issues? Because here people have to unable functionalities to make one other works a bit better, meaning this is a serious bug.

Thanks for all the recommendation. I've tried all the ideas noted so far to no avail. Nothing is working. It is a shame that such a fine produce such as the iPhone 5 will not work with iTunes on the PC. I'm amazed that Apple has not gotten this issue fixed.
