charging iphone since ios7

Has anyone experienced problems charging their phone since the ios7 software upgrade?

Even the cable my iphone came with does not charge it - luckily I bought a spare cable off ebay - one that is not apple genuine and this is the only one that works! Well it charges it but doesn't work 100% as it gets to 100% charged but never says battery full - just wants to keep charging it. I have 3 genuine iphone 5 cables that won't charge my phone now and only this one cable will charge it 😟 Anyone have any suggestions??

Also when you select an image for wallpaper - it comes up enlarged - it says to 'move and scale' but you can only make the image bigger you can't decrease it so you can actually see it all on the screen - you only get a portion of the picture now - anyone else finding this?

Other than this I think ios7 is really good 😉

I've been following the discussion cause having the same problems with my families 3 iPhones (5 and 4s) plus 3 iPads (iPad 2 and 2mini) that where updated to iOS 7.xx

Luckly my personal iPhone (5) I did not upgrade, and continues to work with all cables.

By the way, the sense I get, the problem is with what cable is used, the charger really not being an issue.

Still expecting to hear solutions.

since updating my iphone 5 to ios7 the cables intermittently work, or not.

even the apple one.

so, we are not trolls as so diplomatically put by someone calling him/herself the modular.

we are annoyed that a product we pay a lot for works poorly.

my bluetooth has not worked since day 1.

samsung may get my money next time i need a new phone cause in my experience w apple including computers, their customer service is terrible.

and i am not a technophobe b4 the aforementioned person goes on to tell me how much BS i talk or whatever.

We should not have to revert to a prior version, it should work or get replaced. as for the "warranty", apple is also famous for that piece of money making too

What's even worse is that Apple don't seem to moderate their forums. People come here for "help" and get bashed by a 12 year old keyboard hero for "not comprehending his infinite wisdom". I'm a technician, specialising in electronic repairs, I've been in this field for almost 20 years now and know more than enough about electronics to know when there's an issue. The only reason I'm posting this is in the hope that someone from Apple actually does read this and care enough to look into it.

iPhone 5 - 6 Months old:

I know that on my iPhone 5 I get the following issues since the update to ios7. These issues either occurred immediately after the update or randomly with in a very short time of the update:

I) 3rd party cables stopped working. In my case it would very seldom give the "Device not supported" messages, instead it simply doesn't detect the cable at all. This happened immediately after the ios7 update as I had the 3rd party cable connected during the update.

II) The original "Lightning Cable" very randomly does not work (8 in 10 times it works fine). Turning the phone off with the cable connected to power will cause the phone to turn itself back on and the cable works fine. Also connecting the cable while the phone is turned off causes the phone to turn itself on and the cable works fine. If the cable does not work one can disconnect and reconnect the cable a hundred times, the iPhone will not detect it until restarted.

III) As Ado_16 pointed out the slide function is problematic and sometimes I do struggle to get the phone answered. Luckily this doesn't happen too often, but then again it never happened in ios6.

IV) While on ios6 the iPhone crashed once in a 5 month period. I always used to comment on just how stable this phone's OS is. While on ios7 it has crashed at least 5 - 7 times in the last month since I updated to ios7. Seeing the Apple logo on the background has now become a regular annoyance.

You're wasting your time, in that case.

Apple stopped supporting unlicensed, knock-off Lightning cables and charging docks in iOS 7.

The original "Lightning Cable" very randomly does not work (8 in 10 times it works fine).

Then you need to troubleshoot the phone and cable connections which you certainly know how to do as a "specialized" electronic technician for over 20 years. Right? iOS 7 is more sensitive to connection and cable problems.

Never happened to me or any of the 20+ users I know with iOS 7. Are you trying to turn this into an iOS 7 whine-fest or do you not comprehend the concept of staying on topic?

More off-topic whining. iOS 6 was based on a 6 year old UI and more mature. IOS 7 still needs work.

You observations are just as "astute" as the rest of your post. My grandson will be 12 in the foreseeable future. Like most of the others posting here, you did not come for "help" at all, only to complain, dismissing anything suggesting that your problems could be other than Apple doing you wrong.

Good job modular747, I took you on for the abusive person that you are and pointed out your many mistakes, not nice when someone who knows more than you does it to you, is it? Well you may have managed to get my post deleted but you read it and you know the truth. All I can hope is that you learn from it and treat people with the respect you'd like to be treated with, although somehow I seriously doubt that would happen.
