charging iphone since ios7

Has anyone experienced problems charging their phone since the ios7 software upgrade?

Even the cable my iphone came with does not charge it - luckily I bought a spare cable off ebay - one that is not apple genuine and this is the only one that works! Well it charges it but doesn't work 100% as it gets to 100% charged but never says battery full - just wants to keep charging it. I have 3 genuine iphone 5 cables that won't charge my phone now and only this one cable will charge it 😟 Anyone have any suggestions??

Also when you select an image for wallpaper - it comes up enlarged - it says to 'move and scale' but you can only make the image bigger you can't decrease it so you can actually see it all on the screen - you only get a portion of the picture now - anyone else finding this?

Other than this I think ios7 is really good 😉

Modular747, I started this thread as I wanted to share a couple of issues I had and take advice from people to see if anyone else was experiencing the same things. No one on here is 'whining' people are sharing and talking which is what this is for. What it's not is an outlet for a lot of pent up anger and frustration in your own clearly very unhappy life so that you can try and make yourself feel better by belittling and patronising others.

I agree. The discussion has been to find out if there are any technical solutions to the problem of ios 7 preventing use of "non-approved" accessories. It is pretty clear that there are no technical solutions available and so users need to consider other action to be able to use these accessories.

In my case there do not appear to be any "approved" car cradles available that will charge an ios7 iPhone. Australian road rules now require hands-free phone operation and so this is a big issue here.

My life is already just fine, but I do enjoy pi**ing off trolls, liars, and entitled whiners. Your psychoanalytic skills are just as incompetent as your technical skills with iPhones,

This forum isn't for venting, sharing, commiserating, demanding, complaining, and blaming. It's for asking technical support questions and giving technical support advice.

The denizens of this thread flat out reject or ignore any suggestions because they want only to believe and proclaim they are the victims of Apple. On top of that you all present conflicting and unrelated issues - Only Apple cables don't work, only 3rd party cables don't work, all cables work but charging is slow, nothing works at all....

I am also having this problem just like Sunshark. This problem occured after upgrading my 4s to ios7. While my non-apple cable works on my ios6 ipad2, the cable does not work with my 4s.

Then my sister also updated to ios7 with her iphone 5 and her non-apple cable no longer works too.

Could possibly be because of the os update.

Please reply if you can help, but if not, dont waste my time and your time. Thanks

I was having the same issue with my phone charging with an OEM cable. I would plug it in, and would have to move the cable around, turn the cable over, move it around some more to get it to actually charge after about 20 charging... not charging... charging... not charging chimes. It was very annoying.

I was about to blame IOS7, because, at times, I would get the "cable not compatible with this device" message. And I was using the cable that came with the phone! I used canned air to blow out the charging port, thinking maybe something was obstructing the connection. Didn't work. Turns out, there was a nice wad of pocket lint in the charging port that the canned air didn't get, and had to get out with a small screwdriver. Works like a champ now.

I did run into the third party cable not working (borrowed a co-workers cable at work with a third party cable with a very low battery.. Dead battery soon after). It's extremely annoying and unneccesary, but something you have to deal with when buying Apple. My next phone won't be an iPhone.

Modular 747, after searching many locations to find people with charging issues after io7 updates, specifically

with the iphone 5, I decided to read this entire thread.

Many issues i already suspected have been confirmed...

Not by you, but by other legitimate users that you have been harassing and belittling for all kinds of reasons.

Apple product users come here for help, not to be picked apart and called liars etc. by the likes of you.

I am appalled by your unprofessional behavior and I will be reporting your abuse of apple product users.

I have also saved this entire thread to back it up. A cut up version of your abuses has been condensed

as proof.

Apple support managers should be embarrassed by your actions and will hopefully will discipline you or remove you from this forum completely.

Thank you for being very rude and generally unhelpful, contrary to your claims.

Have a nice day 🙂

I think you fail to understand that this is a user-to-user support forum. The only people who work for Apple are the Hosts (purple Apple avatars) and the Community Specialists (identified by title). The Hosts rarely post outside of the Using Apple Support Communities forum. modular747 does not work for Apple.

Haha,

i mean if anyone, not u.

for me, i am not upset, but i do not agree the way he communicate is right. thou, he has a point when he mention some people are complaining rather than reporting the issue.

i hope that apple will solve whatever technical issues they have with IOS 7 soon, many of my frens have switched to samsung. I am still holding on to iphone as i change my phone every year as it more convenient to me. IOS 7 had created a lot of inconvenience and the new iphone5s and 5c are run under IOS 7. Just make me think twice about getting iphone 5s in 2 months time. Personally i do not like the IOS 7 one bit. Interface changed too much and i cant find the settings i used to find before. Look and feel as well. Wonder what the reason before the update. There might be new functions, but i could do without them.

There no statement from apple on how they are handling these issues right? Previously, apple released a statement about their map in the previous update, but it seems there none now or I cant seem to find it. Thats what make it frustrating. Used to look forward to upgrades of IOS but was quite disappointed by the last few.

Anyway i am from Singapore, if anyone wants to find the trend of switching from iphone to samsung, they can do their research.
