charging iphone since ios7

Has anyone experienced problems charging their phone since the ios7 software upgrade?

Even the cable my iphone came with does not charge it - luckily I bought a spare cable off ebay - one that is not apple genuine and this is the only one that works! Well it charges it but doesn't work 100% as it gets to 100% charged but never says battery full - just wants to keep charging it. I have 3 genuine iphone 5 cables that won't charge my phone now and only this one cable will charge it 😟 Anyone have any suggestions??

Also when you select an image for wallpaper - it comes up enlarged - it says to 'move and scale' but you can only make the image bigger you can't decrease it so you can actually see it all on the screen - you only get a portion of the picture now - anyone else finding this?

Other than this I think ios7 is really good 😉

i too have problems with the charging... I don't know if this is really a bug, but it is somehow a new feature which they have to change. In the previous ios, the plug symbol appears if the device is already fully charged, lightning bolt if still charging... but now since there is no symbol or indicator that says if the device is fully charged, it will only say 100% charged or something similar, not like before, we don't really know if the device is fully charged.

my battery also gets drained faster, i watch one movie on it and i get a low battery notif.. before the upgrade i can watch movies all day!! very sad cause i bought my ipod only this may..

I realize that this is a discussion forum, however, whatever will we discuss if not for workarounds we can do if the devices are not working the same way before? modular747 mentioned i should go to apple complaints or somthing, however modular747 you are not helping in any way except point us where we should file our complaints to apple etc. Also as this is a user only forum, who will give us the technical assistance that you have mentioned? You?

There is no technical support to give you. If you turn on the percentage indicator, you'll be able to see when the charge reaches 100% (i.e. fully charged). Also, when the device is fully charged, the battery symbol is solid green. That is the way it is. There is no way to change that. If you don't like it, submit feedback to Apple suggesting they change it.

Really? What else could "100% charged" possibly mean?

There is no possible tech support for someone who only wants to complain that iOS 7 design is the root of all problems, and vehemently rejects and dismisses any suggestion otherwise. Take you for instance... What is your tech support question? (Rhetorical question - you post only complaints about iOS 7 and me.)

I meant that you are not helping by insulting all the people posting in this forum. they maybe complaining but at least we know that this is not an isolated problem, a lot of people are experiencing it. The other responses you gave were helpful but your insults made you seem arrogant. The 100% charged i mentioned appeared only after 2 hours after charging, that is why I am not sure if that really means 100% charged. The store i bought my ipod from suggested that my device will be 100% charged and will be ready to use after 2 hours, but to really maximize it i should charge it for four hours. in the previous ios i can see the small gap in the green bar, aside from the plug indicator, which means that my device is not only ready for use but the battery is really full. i do not know if what the store said is actually true, but i have followed their suggestion before the update. Now that the battery indicator has changed, that suggestion will not work anymore. i would not know if my ipod is now fully charged except to guess. Now when i remove the charger when the 100% shows up,my battery life is shorter. i will post this as well in the feedbacks.

What "problem" you referring to? At least 5 completely different and conflicting complaints are in this thread:

1. Apple cables fail to charge - only 3rd party cables work

2. 3rd party cables dont work, only Apple cables work

3. No cables work

4. All cables work, but phone charges slow.

5. No longer says "Fully Charged," only 100% charged

The 100% charged i mentioned appeared only after 2 hours after charging, that is why I am not sure if that really means 100% charged.

Huh? The "100% charged" in iOS7 means exactly the same thing as "Fully Charged" does in iOS 1 - iOS 6.

The store i bought my ipod from suggested that my device will be 100% charged and will be ready to use after 2 hours, but to really maximize it i should charge it for four hours

Nonsense. When the phone reaches 100% charged, charging stops and switched to trickle charge.

Now when i remove the charger when the 100% shows up,my battery life is shorter.

IF you get less battery time with iOS 7, it's because iOS 7 features drain the battery faster. See this for suggestions:

7 Ways to Stop iOS 7 From Killing Your iPhone Battery

Also, you need to do a full cycle charge once a month to keep the battery meter calibrated:

1. Charge to 100%

2. Run the phone to auto-shutoff (not just low battery warning)

3. Charge again to 100%
