Try This...
Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

thnx,
i did it, but it still doesn't work well.
certain points on the screen don't work very well.
It's really noticeable when you type messages, i can't press some keys
Try turning off documents and data in settings-> iCloud
If still no joy...
Reset all settings
Settings > General > Reset > Reset all Settings.
This will return all iDevice settings to factory defaults... you will not lose any data.... But you will have to re-enter all of the device settings.
Settings > iTunes and App Store > Apple ID = Sign Out... Then Sign In using the preferred Apple ID.
i did all the things you said including restored it through the itunes and it hasn't fixed it.
could it be a problem with the ios 7.0.2?
this problem hasn't been from the beginning... i already have the iphone for some days and the problem accured only this morning
If a Restore from Backup has not resolved it... try a Restore as New.
If the issue persists... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...
Be sure to make an appointment first...
I have the same problem.
since 7.0.2 update, when typing in landscape mode with the home button to my right, I cannot type a E without having the phone type a W or a R with it...
It doesnt do it when I have the home button to my left, or in prtrait mode.
and it certainly wasnt doing it before I upgraded from 7.0.1 to 7.0.2
well done Apple...
Gallando, what wound up happening with this problem? Did you get it fixed?
Not yet,
i called Apple service and they told me that i'm probably need to exchange my i phone to a new one.
because i'm originally from Israel, i have to wait for the Iphone 5s Officially be marketed in israel :/
I have/had the same problem. Brand new 5S, right hand edge of screen won't respond to touch. Most noticeable when playing Candy Crush - can't move right hand candies to the left. Also when browsing the web, some pop-up ads have the 'close' button to the right and I can't close them.
Took phone back to Apple, they replaced it immediately. Just tested new one at home and it is exactly the same.
Really not good enough.
The same thing happened to me. Initially the brand new 5s was working excellently fine. Until a certain point of time, I just realized that parts of the screen was not responding at all, and as mentioned by Gallando, it is most noticable when typing on the keyboard.
Most of the time, it was solved by closing all the apps and restarting the phone. But the problem will come back again after a while, and I need to restart again.
I bought the phone overseas and I am assigned in another country (which 5s is not even launched yet) for a few months. Pretty much impossible to get the phone checked by Genius.
Kinda stuck with this faulty iPhone. Very disappointed.
Same problem here. The screen does not respond well when I touch the upper right edge.
It seems the bottom part of my screen is much more sensitive than the top part......
New update!
I sent the device to Apple and they immediately replaced it to a new one
Hope that the problem will not repeat itself
i have the simillar problem with my iphone; the touchscreen seems fine in all areas but when ihold my finger on the top left, it will stop responding after a while. and in some games like "dump ways to die" when i move my finger from the edges to the center, it wont respond;
could it be ios 7.0.4 problem or my iphone?:(
yeah i am also having problems with my 5s mainly when switching on and off toggle buttons from the settings, its extremely difficult and i have been wondering if it is from my screen protector but lately i have been noticing issues with the screen in general not being very responsive
Gallando, how did you contact Apple to get a replacement? I went to the store and they told me they could not give me a new one, but that the replacement they could give me was a 50/50 chance the replacement was new or re-manufactured phone.
