Installed Maverick and now cannot print any pdf's correctly

This is a sandbox issue, and Acrobat and Safari don't enforce the sandbox restrictions. Kinoca needs to update their drivers. What happens when you try to print?

Nothing...It acts like it's spooling to the copier, but because it needs the security info to print...nothing

Nothing to do then until Kinoca updates their drivers except print from non-sandboxed apps.

The line through the name in the print diaglog enxtension is a driver software issue. The creator of the driver is going to have to update thier software to be secure. The only fix for this is going to have to come from Konica Minolta. They are fully aware of this issue, but I have no ETA. Sorry.

Are characters that are not printed Japanese font(s)? If not, what font(s) are set in the PDF?

What fonts are you using?

Same problem exactly: PDFs won't print on Epson Aculaser CX11NF: just random letters exactly like the example shown above in the invoice example.

Further problem: pages documents won't print either. Using Adobe Garamond Pro font for the document I'm trying to print. in both PDF and/or Pages. Wow. gb

Update: I changed the font to "Georgia" and was able to print the document with no problem via the new Pages. Export to PDF, however, caused the same horrific results even with the Georgia font. I've used Adobe Garamond Pro for professional reports for years. I hope Adobe will do something to make this font work in the new Mac OS. Very strange to have lost the capacity of a particular font within Pages. But the PDF problem is not so easily resolved. . .

Same problem. Konica Minolta C552 Bizhub

Just spent 30mins on the phone to Konica Minolta support.

When unsuccessful, the rep. read the email from Konica Minolta saying:

"Try using the driver for OSX 10.8. If that does not work, then tell the customer the driver is in development and not to expect a timeframe for delivery."

Advised: To check back 1/week for new driver over the coming month.

You've gotta love this level of preparation from a worldwide company.

I notice that Georgia is a "true type" font, whereas Adobe Garamond Pro is an .otf font. I wonder if that is the issue with Mavericks? Not functional with certain otf fonts with certain printers? Aside from the whole PDF thing.

Hello, I've tried to print using a HP-inkjet printer. And it works fine. Just the epson acculase produces prints like we've seen above. I suppose there must be a problem with the epson printer drivers. Has anybody asked the epson-support already? By the way. The epson scan app does not start under Mavericks too. I think epson-developers has to finish their homework very soon. As I bought my accu laser I've thought to get a professional and long time supported product. This situation is very infurating.

Epson website has no information about drivers for Aculaser CX11NF. It's been a great small office printer/scanner, but Epson site says new drivers would come from Apple. Don't know why the PDF print function is so completey messed up when it prints other file types OK.

Epson still has to provide Apple with the new drivers; Apple is not writing the drivers.
