Well ST/NET 10 (tracfone) responded to me with something to try on my end. I tried their instructions I will post here:
Based on the phone number you provided, your account is well provisioned in our database. Please update your Access Point Name (APN) settings using this URL iapnupdatetfdata.net10.com. Please connect your phone to a WiFi device then tap on the Safari icon on the main screen. Once connected, enter the URL in the search field. You will be redirected to an application that will update the APN settings on the phone automatically.
Once done, please go to Settings > General > Profile, then remove the profile displayed. Turn your phone off and back on. Turn off the WiFi connection, and try to access the browser using the network data connection.

I did this.....I can say it seems a little better since last night....but I am still getting delays. Not to the extent i was before and I seem to be getting my messages....not sure where the problem lies.
