Itunes won't sync music to my iPhone5!!

This is the one that worked for me. So frustrating. Nobody should have to seek out all this help from a forum simply to add music to their phones. 😠

I have an iPhone 5S 7.0.4 and Macbook Pro using iTunes 11.1.4 . This suggestion was the only thing that consistently worked. I was able to sync with iTunes as normal once I removed the iTunes Control folder from the iPhone. The other suggestions were hit and miss.

This worked:

OMG I cannot thank you enough i have had this proplem like every two weeks! and this iFunbox things worked like a charm! It even slolved my "Other" category proplem! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!

Hi kmlkarablt, I tried your method and for some reason it still doesn't work and I did a backup on the computer also. After the sync process, a pop up says "860 items could not be synced. See iTunes for more information" and when I do, it tells me reason is because "the file could not be found". Are you able to help me fix this?

I FINALLY FIXED MINE AND THIS IS WHAT I DID!!

Go to your music tab on iTunes

Uncheck the sync music box and then sync your phone (there will be no songs actually syncing)

Then recline the button to sync music again and click sync.

It will sync all your songs. So simple yet so frustrating to figure out!

You just need to delete all music and re-sync. It takes awhile to re-load to the phone but it worked for me! Pretty easy too!:

Unclick the "Sync Music" box (in the "Music" tab) in iTunes with your phone connected to the computer.

On your iPhone, go to Settings>General>Usage>Music and delete it all.

Sync your iPhone (the music should all be gone now but you may have a couple playlists it decided to keep for some reason - no worries!).

Reclick "Sync Music" in iTunes and......Apply!

Bam!

I followed your instructions and now all my music is deleted on my phone and it's all gray on itunes. Under settings on my phone in music it says NO data..and it won't sync.

NEVERMIND!! IT WORKED!!! I had to do it twice for some reason but it worked!!! YAY!!

I also dont know what to do.

i hav a 4s and lagged so i backed up and restored the phone.

after i got everything back other than my music!

it says in itunes that my music is on but there is nothing there!

there is now also 7 gb of other which wasnt there be4!

what should i do????

i had this same problem and tried almost everything people suggested and none of it worked. i actually fixed it by accident- on itunes, under your device, go to summary, and then options on the bottom, and make sure the box that says "manually manage music and videos" is clicked. try syncing again from the summary page instead of the music page for your device. dont know if this will work for everyone but it definitely did for me!
