Ipad air low memory crash

I came to this forum to see if other ipad air owners are experiencing same problem with low memory crashing as I do but seems like I'm one of the few people have this. So far I have 10 low memory crash reports. I also have about 30 more crash reports but it's from various apps. I got my ipad air on the launch day, second in line, here in California. Maybe I just have a defective one, I don't know. If you have same issues, please reply so I can determine if I should return it or just live with it. Closing apps every day is a hassle. I wish Apple just put in extra gig of ram. Overall, I am extremely happy with my ipad. There are so many good this things to mention about this ipad but this is wrong thread to do that.

Once again another leaving breathing advert, does anyone else notice the majority of these problem users are all level 1?

Oh you mean... level 1 JUST LIKE YOU?

The adverts for samsung and android are all over this thread, start from page one. I even see some kindle adverts for god sakes.

Yeah, sure genius, you caught me... Except that I didn't mention Samsung nor singled Android out and that EVERYTHING I WROTE APPLIES AS MUCH TO ANDROID (OR SAMSUNG OR ANY OTHER ANDROID BRAND) AS TO WINDOWS (OF ANY BRAND)!!!!

Just the kind of sad and pathetic reply I was expecting, shoot the messenger since you CANNOT REFUTE THE FACTS.

You are now a living breath advert that is also a liar.

I realized what I wrote in haste (and remember that English is not my mother tongue) and I *quickly* edited (the time available to edit posts is limited as you may know): " I didn't mention Samsung nor singled Android out".

Since the post we were talking about was just above our last ones, only someone as smart as you would try to say I didn't mention something I just mentioned...

The point is that you CANNOT REFUTE WHAT I WROTE, what I wrote is UNDISPUTABLE FACT.

Your resorting to shooting the messenger proves that and your sad and pathetic repeating that I am an "advert" while failing to show WHAT exactly am I advertising for (since, again, I did NOT mention ANY specific brand NOR did I single out a specific mobile operating system) says all there is to say about you and your arguments...

I didn't even bother to read the last three useless responses, these are 3 usernames are the ones who all keep flaming apple. These are the " regulars " as adverts and cry babies. Not even worth reading.

Everyone else reading this thread please take these users responses with a grain of salt, always.

Everyone else reading this thread please be warned that there are trolls here who don't even know if iOS is a real multitasking operating system and yet keep on posting baseless opinions and worthless comments on other users' INFORMED posts.

Here they go again, I won't even bother to read their responses. These are people who will never quit because they arent here to fix a problem they are living breathing adverts and flamers.

Task preemption is NOT REAL multitasking. Can you have tabs loading in the background while you do something else? Can you download torrents? Can you have apps which elaborate in any way a file (video or audio editing for example) running in the background? Can you have video streams buffering in the background? Heck even bringing up the Control Center stops everything!! You can't even adjust the brightness without stopping everything!!

If you notice and of course I fully expect you to mock this, but I have over 10,000 points for being a helpful contributor to this forum. I found this thread when I knew I was getting an iPad Air. I knew full well that some people were complaining about crashes and low memory issues. But I got my new device anyway, and I thought it was interesting I was experiencing the issues you and some others were whining about.

I don't just hang on this thread. I hand on a lot of threads. I spend lot's of hours helping people with their iPad issues. When they can't sync, when they can't download an app, when they forget their password, I help people. I'm not an Apple plant. I don't work for Apple. Apple doesn't give me any more support than any other customer.

What do you do to help people on this forum?

Be helpful then.

You claimed your iPad Air DOES NOT CRASH and refuse to accept the FACT that your iPAd Air AND ANYONE ELSE'S crashes just as mush as ANY other when you actually USE IT.

Yes, on a short video you can minimize the HUGE problems the Air's hardware and software have by booting it up fresh, open a single tab in Safari and carefully scrolling up and down for a bit (and for all we know you may have had to shoot that video several times before you were able to scroll it a bit without it crashing) but your Air does not have anything special and when actually USED like a 2014 top of the line tablet it WILL CRASH like ALL Airs do.

I am not even sure it's an Air since your 240p (!!!!!) video seems shot with a VGA camera from 10 years ago and almost in complete darkness...

Judging from your unwillingness to make another video where you ACTUALLY show it's an Air and that you can zoom it or put it in landscape (which you would HAVE TO DO if you were actually reading that site, you know...) I would say it's not and you are not in good faith.

P.S. just read that you have just admitted that your "special" iPad Air(?) that "doesn't crash" has in fact crashed on another site... oh.. OK then, nothing to see here, yours is nothing special then, it's just a normal buggy crashy unstable unreliable iPAd Air(?) just like ALL of them.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Make an appointment at an Apple Store to have your device examined by a technician. Or contact Apple Support.

Mine new iPad air is running fine.

I have this issue too. One Gig of RAM is not enough. The low memory crash happens less often than it did with my old iPad 2, but it shouldn't happen at all. Apple is behind the competition when it comes to RAM memory. At their price point, this should not happen. I purchased on the release date and wasn't aware of the amount of RAM. I'm annoyed by this.

I am having same issue. Purchased on release date...software up to date...set up as "new" rather than restore. Have tried multiple resets, numerous setting tweaks and all "fixes" suggested on the internet....nothing works. I mostly use for safari searches, seldom use other apps. Crashes multiple times within an hour. Have a full charge, close all open apps, same thing over and over. I too, have turned on the send diagnostic feature to send crash report to Apple. All show in diagnostic report "low memory" incident.
