Can't logout of google gmail now

None of this is working for me. I have tried the full screen, the YouTube sign out, the terminal killall and nothing. Any ideas?

I am on an iMac with OSX 10.9.2.

I am not logged in to gmail according to YouTube and gmail but I cannot change the user name to a different one.

I do NOT want to add this other account - I just need to access it on this computer.

While gmail is opening on mac, you would see 2 options on bottom right

1. View using standard view (probably the setting is already there for you and that is why you are facing this issue)

2. Load using Basic HTML ( for slower connections)

Click on option 2 , though I agree you may not be having the slower connection.

You would see the sign out button on top right once it opens in basic HTML view. You may make this a default view by clicking on yellow coloured information bar on gmail inbox.

Alas, it didn't work for me. The icons in the upper right (grid, alert/bell, and icon for my account) switch around when I click on them - something is very dodgy.

I am facing the same issue. It seems that screen got jinxed and unable to log out as icons are switching or hiding themselves.

You might want to consider starting a new discussion. Since this one is marked solved and is a couple of years old, less people are likely to look at it. A new post would be much more visible. You can link to this one.

Yeah when i contact apple support they told me to contact google support. Is that a bug of safari.

I feel pity though i had purchased Apple care protection plan to get tele support from these people
