iPad Air Freezing

I have a new iPad Air which I got on the 1st. In the past two days it has frozen and required a hard reboot. Anyone else having a similiar experience?

I too purchased new ipad air 128gb with cellular on 1st November. Fine for two weeks then started noticing issues with screen freeze and safari chucking me back to home screen. Not a happy bunny, it always felt funny to me from the moment I received it.

Visited our local apple store at the weekend as it had gotten considerably worse. Don't think they believed me but after doing a hard reboot and then a restore of my backup and not even being able to get past the logon screen they realised I wasn't exaggerating. We are now waiting for a replacement machine to be delivered to the store and I have the faulty one at home to make sure I all my icloud data is backed up on my pc.

Fingers crossed when receive new one all will be fine or it will be a refund for us until they sort the issue out.

Are you still experiencing the same issue with the iPad and the keyboard? I too have been using the same keyboard and have been having the same problem where I leave the keyboard on and let the iPad go to sleep, and it never wakes up. I end up having to do a hard reboot. I'll try using the tablet by itself to see if the keyboard is indeed the problem. I had the iPad swapped once and the replacement is still doing the same. Very strange.

Ipad Air is freezing, shorting out and cannot access the control center. Called Apple support and have been passed to 4 technicians, no one has been able to fix it. They tell me they are putting in a service ticket and someone will call. so far no one has called. really disappointed in the product and could kick myself for selling my Ipad 2, it worked perfect,

I've been using the Belkin QODE bluetooth keyboard ever since this problem started. Initially, the freezing happened several times a day. However, over the last week or so, it has not happened but twice since updating to 7.0.4, and I'm still using the same keyboard.

I had a slightly different issue like this with my iPad 3rd gen. I was using a wooden cover that worked on my iPad 2nd gen just fine, but the 3rd gen screen started flickering (not freezing). It turned out to be the magnets in the cover, because when I stopped using it the problem went away completly. Therefore, it may ba an issue with the magnets in the covers we are using. The magnets in the QODE keyboard are very strong at the bottom, and that could possibly be causing an issue, and why Apple cannot troubleshoot the cause.

I'll keep using my keyboard because I love it, but if the problem starts happening often again I may contact Belkin to see if they can troubleshoot the issue.

Same here, 32GB model, less than 5GB used. I am freezing 2-5 times per day since purchased. I am using the Apple Wireless keyboard via Bluetooth, and assuming the problem is related. I am also using a Jot Touch Bluetooth Pen recently, and the freezes are happening with greater frequency.

I am reluctant to bring this to the Apple Store for a replacement, because of so many here experiencing the same problem. I'm hoping that Apple will see these complaints and look into this, and post a bug fix. It seems pretty clear that this is related to Bluetooth... are *anyone* of you experiencing total lock-ups that require a forced re-boot WITHOUT a bluetooth device attached?

I'm replying to my post as an update. I am getting Safari quits again, even though I have a brand new, off the shelf replacement from the Apple Store. I am not using a BT keyboard, though I own one. BT is on though. I am not getting the original self re-boots to the black screen. So that is an improvement. I am not using 7.04 iOS, I'm afraid to update it to 7.04 which is what I was running on my original, new, iPad Air purchased Nov. 1.

I will be calling Apple today to register a complaint based on the replacement iPad and new AppleCare.
