iPad air reboot problem

Are lots of people meet the new iPad air restart problem? I have met it several times since I bought it a week. Any solution can avoid it or should I go to  store to change a new one As this is a really annoying problem.

Hi everyone,

same problem here. I bought the iPad air a couple of weeks ago. As you can easily imagine I was dying for that moment, especially because previously I had an iPad 1 (though it was still working great). Now try to imagine my disappointment when the rebooting problem showed up and I call the apple assistance only to be told it was due to low memory. They told me to switch it off every night and to remember closing the apps every day. Seriously?? My iPad 1 with 256 mb with iOS 5 was working fine using the dictionaries, watching movies and switching between apps and the new fabulous iPad air with the mighty iOS 7 just reboots itself every now and then? Are you kidding me apple? My mother's iPad 4 with iOS 6 was working fine too but when she updated it to iOS 7 the same issue started. I had a lot of Apple devices in the past but for the first time I'm feeling deceived if you know what I mean.. I mean, instead of really helping me apple care told me that I should use my iPad air less than the iPad 1 cuz I can't keep it on 24h and moreover I should also remember everyday to close the apps periodically?? Even more than once per day, seriously??? For all these reasons I've gone back to my iPad 1 in order to work. In the meantime I can do all the tests that Apple tells me on the iPad air even though, after some pretty thorough research on the net, I feel it's an iOS 7 problem. Indeed, try to imagine my disappointment.

The same problem here, it just rebooted couple of minutes ago. I hope Apple will fix this problem in next OS update. I don't understand that why this super expensive iPad Air has only 1gb RAM, most high-end tablets on the market have more RAM, and they are cheaper than iPad. The I only reason that I bought this iPad was the good quality Apple's products had. I hope Apple will still make good products and keep innovating.

So I wiped the iPad and set up as new and it's been working a whole lot better. It was crashing on me a couple of times a day and it's now only crashed once... and that's when I basically was trying to crash it by opening a bunch of programs and switching back and forth really fast. Other than that it's working a whole lot better...

The other thing that may have contributed is I have a ton more available space on there now... I was a bit more selective in the apps I downloaded and haven't filled it with home movies and stuff yet. I know it's a good idea to have some free space although it's never been an issue before. It may have been some rouge app that I chose not to install, too.

Either way, doing much better as far as I can tell. I'll jump back in if anything changes or if I reinstall an app that takes it down again.

So another update... I'm still haven't had a reboot since I re-set it up as a new iPad. In my case at least, I had been through a couple generations of iPad's without setting any of them up as new so it was probably time. My other guess is due to the new 64 bit architecture there may be some legacy stuff that was causing the crash.

I still haven't loaded nearly all the apps I had before and still have a ton of free space so that may still be the reason too... just thought I'd update everyone.
